First time posting here...

Hi, this is my first time posting here, although I've got our two dogs here and have put this site on my fb and blog. People love looking at the pictures of the dogs and reading comments.

My husband and I live in Western Colorado, and our family includes 2 Border Terriers, Toomuch and Steve McQueen, known by various aliases, as I think most fur kids are, right? Before we had these two we were parents to a mixed breed, supposedly terrier and Chihuahua. He was a sweetie and was with us for 15 years. The current fur kiddos are 6 and a half and almost 8, both come from the same breeder in AZ.

We love the breed. Very active, but very cuddly, our two love people, Steve is quite the alpha dog, while Toomuch is more 'subtle' when it comes to getting what she wants. Although they're both Borders, their basic personalities are very different.

I'll see if I can post a picture of the two. Nice to meet you all!

Thanks from all 3 of us, LOL for the warm welcome! Yes, I actually didn't even see the 'forum' listing at the top until a few days ago, not sure why, but glad I did.

We got Toomuch first, then when she was about a year and a half we brought home a brother for her. His name got changed to Steve McQueen after a few of his escapades. Give me strength!!! Anyway, he was supposed to be a playmate for TM, but nope, she wanted nothing to do with him. By now they're friends, but she still doesn't play, just wrestles with him when the spirit moves her.

The other day on a walk down to the river, where they get to be off leash, Steve McQueen fell through the collapsed top of kind of a beaver hut, into the water, swam to the middle and got up on a branch, where he waited for 'dad' to wade in, crotch deep, and rescue him. While that was going on, TM was busy finding dried up deer poop to roll in. Holy cow!

I look forward to getting to know all of you, and checking out more of the forums.

Barb, your recent adventure sounds very much like a typical outing with Terriers. They are funny ones, and always busy.

We're glad you found the Forums as well. I too had joined for a while before discovering the Forums. I think the heading should follow the Grown Up, as it rather lost between videos and Pupfolio. No worries though...you are here now.

kian, we lived in ABQ for 6 years, my husband's last assignment as an AF dentist, before retirement. Where do you live? Seems like we in this particular thread are from all over.

We recently relocated from a very small town in N. Utah to NM, we are just below Durango, Colorado. This forum is def worldwide which makes it fun and some of us have actually met.
