First Puppy!

I am so excited, I have my first puppy! After years of debating on whether or not to take on the responsibility of a dog, I finally took the plunge. Biscuit (named by my 7 year old son) is a mixed breed. I'm not sure what breeds created her, but I think she is absolutely beautiful. I fell in love with her blue eyes and light coloration the moment I saw her. She is absolutely wonderful and has already mastered some tricks. We brought her home at 10 weeks old, and she is 3 months old now. If you have any ideas on her breed mixture please feel free to share those! I'm by no means a dog connoisseur, but those ears look a little German Shepherd to me.

Biscuit is lovely, but those ears could tell many a tale. I'm not so sure about GSD. What I am sure about is her beauty! I can see how captivated you were by her lovely, blue eyes. Were you given any clues as to her lineage when she was acquired? How did you find her?

Thank you so much! The reason I say possibly a GSD is because the mom of this one looks very much like a white german shep. She is a large dog with a solid white coat and blue eyes. The previous owners did not want her anymore and dropped her off on the side of the road near the woods, well away from any city. Fortunately for mom, some family friends of mine took her in. She then proceeded to drop 4 pups at the end of October. All 4 pups had blue eyes and look very similar to Biscuit. The others had some dark brown/black markings on them though.

I am having a great time reading all the forums on here.. I see a new addiction in my VERY near future It's nice to see that I'm not alone in my love of dogs!

Hi, thank you for the welcome. We live in the southeastern U.S. in GA. I have always been fond of dogs, but now that I actually have one, I am a dog lover through and through! She has been a great addition to our little family.
