Buddy is again, such a lovely fellow! These dogs are so amazing. I'm glad that at least some of them are locally broadcast, and that ends in good results, but I wish they could all be Nationally shown. Whenever a Network News show features adoptable dogs, they have a 100% success rate.
It's probably a good thing you don't live too close to me, as I'm only allowed 3 dogs, and I now have 2. When I lived in the Country, I would have taken them all. I am often astounded at how few people consider rescuing a dog that is not a puppy, especially those who want one that is already house trained, good with children, etcetera. Any dog, be it a puppy or a grown dog will have an adjustment period into a new environment that usually lasts about 2 weeks, if that. As often as I am able, I encourage people looking for a dog to consider an "older" Rescue, i.e., not a puppy.
