Kian ~ Thank you so much! :D Aha. With the moon, I had my camera on a tri-pod, with my 75-300mm lens on. I just played around with the settings on my camera and took about 50 shots to get this one good one! Haha.

Gaby ~ You know exactly what I think of yours!!! I especially love the rhino. :D

Nezza ~ Thank you so much! :D And, I absolutely love your shots! All so stunning. (:

Here's three more. All taken in London. (:

Gaby have fun with the meetup at the zoo! I have been out with the 300mm, this is only one I am posting so far.

Saz you have a talent for seeing things other would not even think of, those are amazing!!

Nezza your photos are so pretty, I love the colors and where you live. Your house is a perfect setting, so pretty. Glad you joined us!

This one I took today, I did put in on FB. I took it with my 300mm and love the effect.

This is Clarissa.

Kian great job with the new lens! Someday I'll get one of those too, just too many things on the list that come first!

Question though, does it make your camera heavier, or the front weighted down with that lens? That was one of the things that made me hesitate before. I can't handle a lot of weight on the camera.

Vanessa, great photos! Your area is beautiful. I love that last photo, the house looks great in the middle of all of those trees.
Just so you know, we made it a rule a ways back to only post three photos per person each day. That way it gives everyone a chance to post their photos. And don't worry about what you already posted, its not a problem!

Saz what can I say. I totally agree with Kian, you do have an eye. I really like the photo of the escalator. Very cool pic girl!
And I LOVE the photo of your mum and Cody. Yeah I know just how she feels, and you can see her love for him in the photo. He is just adorable.

I have taken some photos but haven't loaded any to photobucket yet, it's just been too busy. I think this week is a little more relaxed so maybe, just maybe I'll get some loaded and posted.

Great photos everyone! I enjoy them all.

Nezza your pictures are beautiful, I really like where you live. Don't worry about posting too much! The wake behind the boat is very nice!

Saz what adorable pictures and yes we can't be wrong, you have a amazing eye for pictures.

Linda it isn't too heavy, that was something I was concerned about. I am looking at the fixed 50mm now.

Glad to see this thread moving along again! Guess we just needed to get through the Christmas season.

Kian, I was looking at the fixed 50mm just today! I can get a really, really cheap (!?) one for my Canon, but I just spent some money on a separate flash gun and some filters, and we're going away next month, and .... Well, you know how it goes!

Thanks, Linda, for reminding us of the "Three Pica a Day per Person" rule. It's easy to get excited about our work, and we don't want to overwhelm the thread in that excitement!

Nezza, your pics are great, with lots of movement, but can I make a request? I find the time stamps very distracting on your pics, and would really enjoy them more if you stripped them out before posting. It's a very easy thing to do, and if you don't know how, just ask and someone will walk you through it! Unless you want them on there, in which case I'll shut the hell up! LOL!

I've been experimenting with "light painting" a bit, and although I don't have anything worth sharing, it's been quite fun! A dark room, a small light source, long shutter speed and waving the camera around! Try it, it's lots of fun!

Thank you, everyone! And thanks for letting me know how many pics we can post at one time :) I should have checked into that before.

Phyrie, i don't like the time stamps either. lol  I'm sure my OH can help me get rid of them...i have always found them distracting, too

Love this thread and i love seeing everyone's great pics :D

I got a great shot of Kiba today! I have set my camera to shoot in RAW+JPEG, although I've not done any PP before. I did a bit of PP with this shot, but not much. Mostly I just corrected the white balance, and deepened the tint a tiny bit (as it's not his fault it's winter and his coat is more blonde than auburn!). I especially like that you can adjust the white balance in RAW, as that is one setting I continually forget to re-set in different light.

I know this is not great photography, but it's a good picture of my dog, so I'm putting in here anyway!Image LOL!

Saz I love the picture of Jilly with Cody ;) she really is such a poser :p dont tell h er i said that or she'll beat me D: and the pictures of him with cameras, you know I like already but it's great, like I said he can inherit his Aunty Saz's 1100D someday xD

Nezza (phone tried to change that to 'mezzanine') the pictures of where you live are gorgeous. Your photos seem to breathe fresh air into the thread. Keep them comin' :D

Kian I love the picture you got with your new lens!

Phyrie, a photo is photography is it not? And it's a great one also! Indefinitely belongs in this thread. Kinda looks so adorably handsome! What a happy dog that is there in that picture. Also do I also sense a slight "mum, what on earth are you doing..?"

Linda, is your camera body quite heavy? Or light? For a camera xD on t D3100 which is very light, the lens was fine but i had a Tamron lens, they're not QUITE as good as say a Nikon or a Canon but they're lighter by a noticeable amount. The expert who gave us a lecture last night had one so if it's good enough for him it is for me haha.

Just thought I'd say. If you don't want a heavy lens go for Tamron and it takes some weight out :)

The lecture I went to was on macro photography. (or 'a macro' :p) it was absolutely amazing. It was quite technical. And a committee member spoke to me after saying 'don't be put off, they aren't always as technical as this' and I was going to say something but I started out 'well, I do A level science' and he went 'RIGHT. You're fine.' lol. I'm so much of a camera geek that I had already read up on almost all the technical stuff this expert told us about. :| oh well, if you love something... Lol

I do enjoy reading this thread and seeing everyone's photography. I rarely contribute a photo, but I do enjoy them all.

Oh Deb will love the tongue shot of Ziggy! Wonderful pictures of Ziggy, I like them a lot. I really like the second one, he looks like he is reflecting on something.

Phyrie your picture of Kiba is adorable, he is soooo happy and it is photography! Glad you shared it. I tried Raw once, I will have to try it again. I'm still considering the fixed 50, will let you know if I get it & what I think.

Keep the pics coming!
