Skip apparently never went missing from his new home, his old owners, who never replied to the shelter contacting them, posted it.

My laptop isn't working at the moment so I can't post pictures for a little bit, I can get on when my mother lets me use her laptop (not often). Going to an outreach tomorrow at pet'smart. But if anyone really wants me, pm me so I get a notice in my email. I can check my email from school computers.

Lots of pictures this time :) We had an outreach today, I was unable to attend yesterdays due to school.

Today we adopted out 2 dogs, the day before 3, and only had 2 left today. :yipee: Including *drum-roll* Diesel! He's been here since the 12th of December, his adoption fee was greatly reduced, and today one of the volunteers took him home.

This is Spud, he was adopted first thing that morning. Very nice little pup, very polite with other dogs, and just too darn cute. He has obvious Bull Terrier influence, longer legs, and a almost curly/wavy coat.

Diesel boy, I'm soooooo happy he got adopted. And the guy who adopted him is a great guy as well. So icing on the cake, I don't approve of the vast majority of adopters.

His coat is quite interesting, they have him as a Cattle Dog mix, to me he looks more Catahoula/German Shepherd. It's almost like the has GSD blanket markings but the black markings became merle, even the slight muzzle mask.

I love his eye, so many people ask if he has eye issues. It reminds me of a sundae, oddly it makes me hungry.

Goliath being saved from the puppies (they were actually very good about giving him space)

Little Tilly, she's only 3 months old so she didn't get taken out too much. A very nice little gal though :)

Goliath is a awesome little guy, he's much calmer than most terriers, 6 years old, he has the rat look to him but much leggier, longer snout, etc. Long shot, but he looks like a Rat/Italian Greyhound mix. He also got to go on the news :D

Got an extra hour in today so I took out three dogs. :)

First, Tilly got adopted. :D

I also took out Goliath today, but they came looking for him to take him to Pet'smart before I could get pictures. I'm hoping I don't see him in tomorrow and he got a home.

The first boy is Spartan, a Pit Bull mix puppy and the little guy has quite the thinker on him! He's very responsive to training and very willing/eager to work and please. He was excited and scattered brained at first ( you know, let's run around this corner and spin around and whack our head!), but after working with him he was pleasant to handle and it was easy to teach him to sit at the door.

Isn't his poorly applied lipstick adorable?

Curly, he is a very sweet boy, quite gentle, he's one of those that definitely needs to work for everything he gets. He wasn't very interested in me once the thrill of a new person died out. So he had to sit to go play, sit for every door, etc, and he was already showing some improvement.

Cel, I thoroughly enjoy this thread, I'll have you know! It's one of the ones I look at when I have an extra moment so I can enjoy it properly. :D

I liked the "poorly applied lipstick" remark, but also thought it looked like a very small mustache, similar to Charlie Chaplin.

All the dogs are beautiful, and the puppies will be scooped up in no time with their beautiful blue eyes.

Curly reminded me of RJM's Ruby.

I'm glad you enjoy it Deb, it's been a lot of fun and I have thoroughly enjoyed my time working at the shelter. It's nice to go back and see all the familiar faces. Especially Skip's update pictures, poor guy had the worst luck for awhile, very few wanted to meet him, and in the end he hit the jackpot!

I love that! I'll keep an eye out in the future for a dog with a mustache, we can name him Chaplin ;)

Ruby was one of my first thoughts when seeing him! He definitely looks like he has some Rott in him, he reminds me of a friend's Rott/Akita mix. He's a great example of why you can't trust guessed breed reports from anything to shelters, news, police, etc. He's listed as a Pit Bull

And the pups were adopted before I came in this morning. :)

Cel, I didn't realize that you weren't working at the Shelter anymore. I thought you often popped in to give a hand, even if it was just to spend time with the dogs. I knew once school resumed, you were spending less time there.

I take in so much information at once sometimes, that I often misplace a thought or two. This evening was particularly busy as both of my sons had a busy week, and are making plans for their futures....just little stuff, yanno...nothing important! :P

That's wonderful that the pups are already adopted. I'm not a bit surprised. They look purebred to me, and even if they aren't, they are lovely. All dogs are lovely.

I wrote that horribly, I am still working there. That was my bad for the way I worded it. I work at the shelter through school, ROP Office Tech

Phew!!! That is a relief!!! I thought how could I ever forget something like that. You young people should stop playing tricks on this old gal. :P

Now that I realize what you ARE doing, I understand why you worded it that way. It was beautifully written. It was just in the wrong tense. I'm celebrating quite frankly as I have not lost my mind.

My sons have been "Gaslighting" me all day. (Gaslight is a reference to an old movie, that is a psycho thriller for its time. It's a great movie!)

I too love this thread!

I want Spartan to come live with me! Though I think the logistics of geography would make that a tad difficult. His face just melts me! He's adorable. I hope he, and the other pooches, find fabulous homes soon!

Thank you for the comments guys, they're all fabulous dogs!

Goliath and Curly are still there, but they're green cards (have had everything done to them and can go home as soon as they're adopted.) and Spartan just went up to get fixed.

I took out Charlee today with a friend of mine, Charlee is a AWESOME dog! She's been here since September but was in protective custody from an abuse case. The shelter won custody and now she's up for adoption. She's done very well in the kennel environment. She's very eager to engage, a great worker, and very food motivated. She's athletic and could keep up with you if you were a very busy person but could also chill with you. While walking her out to the yards she was continually looking up at me (so I reinforced it a lot.). When my friend was taking her to the yard to show the trainer her special trick someone arrived with a reactive dog that immediately started going off. Charlee didn't even flinch, just kept watching her. I really like her, wonderful dog.
Oh, and she does back flips on command.

Is it just me or does it almost look like she has extremely faint tan points?

I love looking at this thread. There are so many things to comment on every time I look

Charlee is beautiful! And amazing that she can do backflips! Her colouring is so pretty, and yes I think it does look like she may have the faintest hint of tan markings. Sad her past was abusive but she seems to be very happy now in general :D I'm sure someone will snap her up.

Spud is so cute too, I love Bully heads XD LOADS of people think they're so ugly but I ADORE them.

Diesel's merled eye is beautiful also. Monty and Woody's dad had a merled eye  he does look more like GSD/Catahoula to me as well. Glad he got a home with someone you like!

That is a magnificent dog! She looks as though she has already had at least one litter of pups, but I could be wrong. :|

Charlee is extremely athletic, and I hope she finds a wonderful, new, safe, forever home.

Charlee has been in awesome spirits the whole time, never let it get her down. She's a very optimistic happy dog. :D

And I find bull terrier heads adorable too, I don't like the more exaggerated ones but Spud's is indeed adorable.

Deb, I'm not sure if she's had puppies, but if she did it likely would've been on her first heat considering her age. :(

So, I took Pet of the Week pictures again. I had to leave soon so I didn't get a chance to really get to know them.

This is Trooper, he's in dire need of a diet, likes to let himself through doors, picky, but other than that a nice boy.

And this is Duce, hyper active young Lab, man taking the cone off him was a pain. It was like a finger death trap.

I made my squeaking/whistle sound and found out he has incredibly funny looking ears.
