Kenobi

Hello,

My name is Marty, and my dog's name is Kenobi. I've been a long time lurker in the Forums, and I've finally gotten around to make a profile.

Kenobi is a beagle mix who is a little over a year old. My fiance and I adopted him last May from a local rescue. They told us he was 9 weeks old, and that he would be close to 80lbs. However, he turned out to be 16 weeks old, and seems to be full grown at 40lbs., which is kind of funny because he's exactly the size we wanted. I'm pretty sure he still thinks he's an 80lbs dog though, because he always wants to play with all the big dogs at the dog park.

hey im catherine!

and i'd liketo say Kenobi is super cute!and its so funny that he didn't turn out to be 80lbs first pic he reminded me of a lab.

Thanks! He remind us of a lab too, and when we took him to puppy obedience there were two labs in his class who were about the same age and size as him. But then as the class progressed the labs kept getting bigger quickly and Kenobi suddenly slowed down. Then his canine teeth came in and the vet told us he was 2 months older than the shelter had told us As the vet pointed out, it didn't really matter - we love him either way! (and it was kind of nice to fast forward through 2 months of puppyhood)
