Thank you, so happy you like the pics! September is a great time of year to come...as we still have warm weather but not the sweltering heat of july/august. I hope you're able to find an affordable flight...i know the airfares have gone WAY up!!

Deb, A DP meet up (occuring around the same time as Kian's visit to Nashville) would be so AMAZING!!! I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to meet the gang

Wow, your photos are amazing! BB Kings looks like a very fun "hotspot". Kian, count me in on the Dancing! I can't "line dance" but I can shake my booty.

I don't see me being able to go in September, but who knows, that could all change. Kian, if you go, you simply must arrange to see Vanessa.

Meanwhile, I was looking at the food on the plates trying to figure out exactly what everyone was eating! It looked good, whatever it was.

The Atrium is spectacular, as are the Christmas lights. I imagine there is a lot to see and do, not to mention the plethora of great music. Wow, that would be a very fun destination. Vanessa, you are on for sharing a "Soul Bowl". I do need a getaway, and I already know you are fun.

Kian, I really hope you and your OH can go in September. That will be a memorable trip. I'm sure you'll both enjoy the music and dancing.

Thanks so much, Deb! Glad you liked my pics You made me laugh!...when i looked back at our plates of food, i thought...Geez, it looks terrible!!! It was quite delicious, though. The OH's little boy was enjoying chicken carbonara (which i make at home and he says mine is better ) and i was eating a steak with sauteed mushrooms and mashed potatoes with some onion strings drizzled over the top...MMMMM. Deb, it would be awesome to have a DP meet-up in Nashville! The OH's son is very handsome, indeed! He has plenty of "female friends" wanting his attention and he's only 10!!!! He's a ladies man for sure!

Kian, i'm hoping that you get to come up! I would LOVE to meet you!!!! and the OH, of course

Vanessa, I tend to notice obscure things in photographs and miss the obvious! I was probably quite hungry when I looked at those pictures last night, and the food did look yummy, as it had been mostly consumed. It's probably going to take me at least 2 more months before I can truly make any plans for anything. Slowly, oh so painstaking slowly, things are falling into place.

I know you and Kian would hit it off! I can't imagine anyone not being able to get along with Kian. She is fun, thoughtful and game for just about anything, within reason of course. You seem to be quite similar. I've come to the conclusion that the DP attracts, and then keeps, only the best people. Obviously, we are all like minded or we wouldn't end up on the same site.

Shucks Deb, thanks! We looked at September because of the cooler weather, I will keep a eye on airline rates. It just might happen, OH has so much Vacation time he needs to use and I'm always up for a trip.

Perhaps we should put it out there on a different thread and see what happens?

Vanessa, I'm finally catching up, and read through this thread. I love all the pics, and your home is gorgeous!
Count me in on some front porch sittin' too! You have a beatiful view and I'll bet there's loads of wildlife wandering past.

Waffles has grown so much, and I'm looking forward to seeing pics of Triscuit too. Isn't it funny how littermates can be so different from one another?

Vanessa, thanks so much for the pictures! The Cabin is quaint and I'm sure it will be a hidden treasure when it has 4 walls. I did notice that it too has a Front Porch! That is essential for relaxing.

The Woods look amazing. The flora and fauna is beautiful!!!

RJM is up for some Front Porch Sittin' as well. I also think she and her OH wouldn't be adverse to sharing a "Soul Bowl" at BB's! The wheels keep on turning.

Welcome to my thread RJM! I'm glad you enjoyed the pics...i love to take pictures I would LOVE for some porch sittin time with you The pups have grown a lot! And yes, it is funny, how just like human siblings...litter mates can be so very different

Deb, yes the cabin does have a front porch...and i didn't get a pic of it...but there are a few trees perfect for a hammock in front of the porch and that's what we're planning on putting up, once we are done. The plan is to extend..as you can see where the wall is missing...we have already extended the flooring and just need to put the wall back up. It still needs to be painted inside and out and the flooring needs to be finished. we want to put a queen size bed in there, a couple cabinets, a folding card table that we are going to attach to the wall so it folds down, a bookshelf...and that's about it. of course, camping equipment we use our old Suzuki Samurai to bring the building materials and equipment up the mountain...it's a fun project
