Hello!

I totally passed over this intro section before I started posting, so I thought I'd say hello!

In February, I got my first dog - a mismarked black-tri Aussie puppy that I've named Pixel. You may recognize her at the Daily Puppy from Friday, March 16th.

I know some of you may be thinking, "Your first dog - and you got an Aussie! GOOD LUCK." I do know what I've gotten myself in to. I've wanted my own dog since I was 7 years old. The movie Babe was just released and I was mesmerized by the beauty and sheer awesomeness of those border collies. My whole life I begged my parents for one, but I would always get the same response, "When you grow up, you can have as many dogs as you want."

Well guess what? I'm all grown up, and I wanted one. Although Pixel lacks the ability to communicate with livestock, she's absolutely perfect.

Pixel is now 4 months old, and my very best buddy. When I'm not at work, she is by my side 24/7. She's well mannered most of the time (she is still very much a puppy!), but we're figuring things out together, and one step at a time.

I'm excited to join the community here, and hope to learn a lot and make some new friends!

A big warm welcome Rose and Pixel! Don't you just love the Aussie smile. I do many field trips & demos with Ice and I tell the kids I have always loved dogs since I was a young child. My parents always thought I would grow out it, I never did!

You are among friends here that can relate! Dogs are our family and passion.

I'm Kian, I reside in the Southwest U.S. with Allie and Ice, plus a few other critters!

Hi Rose and Pixel! I'm so glad you posted an Introduction to yourself and sweet Pixel, and I am even more pleased that you and Kian have become acquainted already. How lovely to finally have your own dog. You are amongst like minded people here when it comes to our relationships with our dogs. They are a part of our families.

Rose, we're practically neighbours! I am only 1 hour from Port Huron, and 2 from Detroit. We have a few members from Michigan.
