Ashley, I know artists are always overly critical of their own work, but that is amazing!
You are so talented, Remi's doggy friend's mom is going to love it!
I agree with your mom, people would definitely pay for you to do their dog's portraits.

RJM, thank you! I think the reason I am overly critical is because it's hard to see it as one whole picture. I just see it in pieces with all the places where I messed up. Once I don't look at it for a couple months it's easier to see it as a whole. If that makes any sense.

Kian, thank you!
The only thing is with pen I heard that it will fade a lot over time however only when it's in sunlight. But I found that if I transfer the image to another surface it won't fade at all. So I think that if I would sell them I would want to transfer the image so it won't fade. Plus then I can keep the original copy for myself.
I've been working on doing a transferred image now and I'll show you it when I'm done. I'm really liking the look of it. :)

I decided to do another one of Remis friends because I wanted a challenge. I'll try to get a better picture of it. We don't have a scanner and it's been cloudy out so I had to use my desk lamp. However I still really love how she turned out, it really surprised me on haw easy it actually was. :?

Ashley, that is just amazing! I had to tell Elliot it was a drawing, not a photograph! It's so REAL!

Not only do have ambition, but you have tremendous talent. Whichever path in life you chose, you will succeed! Work hard at School, and obtain a Degree or at the very least, a Diploma as you have a long way to go and the world will be your oyster.

Thank you everyone!

I finished the transfers and just today I finished putting them on the canvas and doing the painting. The transfers themselves look like tattoos almost.

Here's Brandy:

And Izzy:

It was really hard to get a good picture of them especially Izzy because that one was still a little wet.

All I have to do now is sign and date them then I'll give them as gifts.
They turned out pretty good for my first time doing anything like this. There are so many possibilities that are running through my head now of all the things I can do now. :P

Ashley, those are both exquisite!!! Wow, is there anything you can't do? To whomever receives them, they are very lucky indeed. :D

I can draw a box and that's about it, so I'm always impressed by anyone who has artistic talent.

A few of dog and cat drawings I've done lately, or somewhat lately. Last July through December.

Finished drawing of Remi.

The above drawing put onto a piece of wood.

I haven't mastered putting it on the wood but it looks pretty good if I do say so. :)

Ashley, your work is outstanding...I believe you could do well if you would exhibit at art fairs...You could sell some work and perhaps accept commissions if you wanted...All you need are contacts and a chance to hang out with fellow artists...They can advise you on sales and priceing...

.My OH is an excellent multi media artist with a graduate degree in art education...She taught High School art for a number of years and has her own studio....Unfortunately she has been sidelined recently by medical issues..

.Our town is a center for creative folks...Lots of Gallerys, some entertainment venues,2 street fairs each year and some nice resturants..Plus a great liberal arts college...Yet the local population is less than 5000 (except on weekends or during street fairs) then all bets are off....There is allways music from street performers....
