Introduction

Hello everyone

My name is Lisa, I am new to Daily Puppy and wanted to introduce myself.

I live in Ontario Canada with my husband (the most patient wonderful man ever) and currently 4 dogs Radar our old boy is a Blue Merle Aussie and an amazing boy, Penny is our little dynamite also known as the do nuthin diva she is a 3 pound yorkie who is filled with character, then there is Kona my service dog and all around gem, she is clever and so nurturing always looking for someone or something to love and look after...Then we have Beacon our 5 month old Landseer Newfie who was orphaned and who was adopted and nursed by Kona, Beacon is visually impaired but that far from stops her, if anything she is more able than most, she has learned a great deal with the assistance of our other dogs, including several assistance dog tasks.

Both Kona and Beacon attend the RVH Oncology department with me when I am in treatment but also when we visit patients, both of them are better known than I am and if I show up without either I hear about it immediately.

That's us in a nutshell I am looking forward to meeting you and your furry family members as Kona would say 4 PAWS UP everyone !

Hi Lisa! I commented several times on Kona already. As I mentioned, I normally don't have time to do that, but I couldn't help myself.

If you don't mind me asking, approximately where are you in Ontario? I live in London (and am from here originally) but have lived in Eastern Ontario, including Ottawa, and Summerstown (on the St. Lawrence), as well as the GTA (Aurora). London always sucks me back like a vortex.

It sounds like you have a wonderful "fur" family. Every home needs a Diva like Penny, and bless Kona for showing Beacon the ropes. Radar is a great name for an Aussie! Kudos to you as well for having Service Dogs who offer comfort and assistance, to you and others.

Thank You for all of the awesome comments you made us very welcome. I am very lucky to live with an array of amazing dogs. With my career I so often get the pleasure of knowing so many amazing dogs no better way to live life.

We are located north of Barrie outside of Midland/Penetang area in Tiny Twnshp.....if you know where Awenda park is our backyard trails lead right to the entrance of the park. Both my hubby and I are ex GTA'ers before it was GTA but I have lived so many other places from L.A. to B.C but Ontario called me home in 97 and I settled here....we love it we live on a small secluded lake with very few year round residents. It is a great place to be listening to the loons at night in the summer with the dogs all laying about after a day of non stop...I love it

Hello Lisa, I'm Tracy and I live in North Devon, England with three dogs, deerhounds Loki and Idun and Cavalier King Charles Spaniel Libby as well as three humans and three cats. Welcome to the DP. I love Landseer Newfoundlands, they're so pretty.

Lisa, I know where you are and I've even been to Midland after staying with friends who were close to Honey Harbour! My sister and her husband keep their Sailboat near Penetang(uishene), which is virtually Georgian Bay. You live in a beautiful area, and one that is perfect for dogs. The summer months are glorious where you are. It's so tranquil there, year round.

I did a Google Map search as I don't trust my own memory, and didn't realize there was actually a place called "Tiny". I thought you were being "cute". Muskoka and Georgian Bay are some of the most magnificent parts of this Province, if not the entire Country.

I am actually going to visit a friend in BC, who lives on an Island in the next 3 weeks (2 weeks, 6 days, but who's counting), and I'm SO looking forward to that. I expect it will have the same tranquility as where you live.

As you know, I've already fallen in love with your dogs. Glad to have you with us on the DP!
