Ringo the Japanese Dachshund

Postby slats on Sun May 27, 2012 5:46 am

According to my wife `The CUTEST puppy in the world!`.. and she may just be right :)

Living with me and my wife in the South of Japan. He doesn`t answer to `sit` or `come` rather `suwatte` and `oide`.

He is very fond of tummy rubs and soft chewable toy bones. He is very shy of new comers but is quick to welcome anyone who gives him a friendly pat!

I made a short slide show to show him off :D

Ringo is adorable, and the short slide show is very cute indeed! Your wife is right about Ringo being "the cutest puppy ever" as we all have one of those.

Can't argue with the wife! Love the choice of music and Ringo is a cutie. LOL...I have to agree with Deb, we all have the cutest dogs! What brings you to Japan?

Thank you for all for the warm welcome!

As for the reason I am in Japan, basically I meet my wife in Australia fell in love and chased her back to Japan :)
Actually her working holiday visa in Australia expired so I applied for a working holiday visa to Japan. I then spent one year spending every spare moment studying Japanese before coming here and trying to find a Job. An amazing experience and I have fallen in love with the country aswell! Now me and my wife live in Hokkaido managing a hotel in the winter and down south on the south island of Kyushuu with her family in the summer.

For anyone that hasn`t been to Japan I highly recommend a visit! :D

That is fantastic to learn Japanese, as that isn't a easy language. Do many speak English? I would love to visit Japan one day, it looks like a beautiful country.

That is what I call a true Love Story! I've always wanted to visit Japan to experience the culture. You make it sound very welcoming, and I would thoroughly enjoy parts of the Country that are less "Touristy", but Tokyo would be a must.

My dad lives in Japan, with his second wife, who is Japanese, so I've spent a bit of time there myself. Congratulations on your little wan-chan!
