How fun! The Carnival ships are decorated with color, one can't help but be so happy on one. Love the pictures, aren't the towel animals fun! Did you get the nightly chocolate on your pillow?

Happy 50th to your parents, they look very happy, what a great way to celebrate.

Those little squares next to the second towel animal is chocolate. And I got two every day. Yum.

Here are my pics from Catalina Island. I will post Ensenada tomorrow.

We had to take a little boat over to the island and back.

I always enjoy your pictures Kris, love the boats in the Harbour with the round building in the back, postcard perfect. I just can't remember what that building was, wasn't it a Ballroom decades ago? The pelican is very nice, I love the artistic ones, the stairs really pop when scrolling down.

When we went to Catalina it was on the Cattle Boat, the Cruise Ship with a Tender is much better.

I enjoyed your Ensenada pictures, it's been so long since I was there. I remember there was a Cantina that everyone wanted to go to, I cannot remember the name.( I will remember sometime while I'm sleeping!) Your pictures are beautiful.

edit: Okay I remember, it was Hussongs. It was all the rage, I don't know if it still is.

Kian, was it papa and beer??? that's the one I remember going to ages ago.
I love how the stair photos came out too.
The builing is The Casino, It's a theater and ballroom ( no longer a casino). It was built by Wrigley

Papa and Beer doesn't register with me, I did look up Hussongs and that was the popular hangout way back when. Looks like it's still going strong. That's right about the the Casino, thanks for the reminder! It's the landmark for sure.

That ship is amazing! I had some idea that they were large, but you really show the size in your pics. I've never been interested in a cruise, as I thought I might feel too cramped, but they really are like a floating cities, aren't they? Lovely.

What is the first towel animal? I won't say what it looks like to me!! LOL!

I'm up for wine tasting! Do you have to know anything about wine? I've wanted to learn, but Paul isn't interested, and taking a class alone wouldn't be any fun!

You've got some really great floral shots! I particularly like the buggy full of blooms.

Your parents look very happy. 50 years is an amazing achievement! Mine had theirs a couple of years ago.

LOL Phyrie, I'm pretty sure I know what you see in the first picture and that didn't occur to me until you said that! I had the same towel animal and it was a seal, I will be curious to see what Kris says. Cruise ships really are floating cities, remember I have Claustrophobia. I would never take a cabin without windows and ship is full of open spaces with windows, so I'm good.

LOL. I wasn't sure what it was. But I'm pretty sure I see what you see.

Phyrie, this isn't even one of Carnival's big ships. It is big. I only slept in my room. The rooms were pretty small. But I did have a window. I spent a lot of time up on deck or walking around. I'm not a cruise person. But it was more fun than I had thought it was. There was a casino that of course I was in every night.

You need to know nothing about wine to wine taste. Just how to lift a glass to your mouth. And if you really don't like something you can pour it out. no big deal. Maybe one day you can meet me in Napa and I will show you the ropes. We can have Paul as our designated driver. hehehe

Phyrie...LOL!!! I think the first towel animal is supposed to be a Walrus with Tusks, or a Seal, although Ben totally concurred with your sentiment, and I didn't even say what I thought you thought it was!

Kwak, those are fantastic photos. I love it when Hotels or other places we stay, do cute things with the towels or other available items in the room. :D When we went to St. Moritz in Switzerland, the Maids did something cute every day with my sister's doll, "Puddin'".

Catalina is beautiful, and if there is one place in California I've always wanted to see, it is there, as well as San Francisco and Alcatraz. I would also enjoy tagging along on a Wine Tour, especially with Phyrie and Paul! 8) That would be fun, and hilarious and I promise Paul would be into it before the trip was over. He's a good sport....after all he tolerated me for nearly 2 weeks. ♥

The Cruise Ship is decorated in vivid colours! I'm sure you enjoyed the onboard Casino nightly. Your parents look amazing, and how lovely to celebrate their 50 years of wedded bliss with the entire family. That is a once in a lifetime trip. Your floral pictures are also beautiful.
