DEB'S DAILY PUPPY POSSE TOUR 2012

Postby Oliver & Henry's Mum on Mon Jul 02, 2012 8:06 pm

I said in the Misc. thread that I was going to start a thread so I could post pictures of my "Daily Puppy Posse Tour 2012", complete with pictures. Since I don't have any of them uploaded to Photobucket (from my laptop) this little "vignette" is just a sampling of things to come.

Phyrie filmed my arrival!!!! I'm not sure if it was posted anywhere else on the Forums, but this is where it all started really. The first bit is rather quiet for a minute or two, but it is the start of the best 2 weeks I've had in a very long time.

Thank you Phyrie and Paul for making me SO welcome, and for such a lovely, lovely time!

More pictures to follow!!!

I love your arrival, that is a great way to come to the island. A little prop, no huge airport and you get greeted on the tarmac and no luggage waiting! The scenery is so beautiful there, I love BC.

For once, I actually did what I said I would do, and I uploaded a sampling of the photographs that I took while on holiday.

I am going to post these, in no specific order, and try to "name" each one, to the best of my ability.

Phyrie and Kiba greeting me at the Gate:

Even the clouds are beautiful here:

Daisies and wild flowers cover the Island! They are everywhere and are beautiful:

Last, but most certainly not least, sweet Kiba:

I'm glad my arrival was found to be amusing. It isn't hard to have fun with Phyrie! This is only a smattering of the photos that I took as it was hard to see them on my laptop when I wanted to upload them, but they should do for now. I had such a wonderful, wonderful time, that I would go back in a heartbeat.

Vanessa, those are plain old fashioned "wild Daisies". There are also "Foxgloves" (correct me if I'm wrong Phyrie, please!!!) that grow wild on the Island in all sorts of colours. It's a wild flower haven.

I didn't even post all of my favourites as some were far better than that, but I was selecting them from a tiny window and wasn't sure which was which.

I want to check with Phyrie before I post a link to my "Cottage" as it is quite location specific, unless I can figure out a way to only upload the photos of the actual Cottage. She values her privacy and I don't blame her. 8)

Vanessa, I have more than 200 photos in total and some fun ones of the 3 of us (not together of course as I was taking the pictures). When I have a bit more time, I'll upload some more. :D

The one I labelled as my favourite is truly my very favourite! I took that at the Quarry and was awestruck by the majestic beauty of the Mountains. I was able to see them most of the time I was away. I even have some shots from my hotel room, but of course the Mountains are slightly cloudy in those photos. I need a pen and a piece of paper and to go through the photos and write down the numbers so I know which is which.

To think that 2 weeks ago today, I was with Phyrie and we were relaxing enjoying a lovely evening together. I believe that was the afternoon/evening we went to the Park, and sat on the special Bench. :) 3 weeks ago today, I was with Phyrie and her husband and we were having a grand time. :P The temperatures there are so moderate, and wonderfully cool at night. I slept like a baby!

Feel free to post what you like, Deb. I think by this time, if someone out there wanted to find me, they certainly could. Pictures of my backyard won't give anymore away! LOL! Of course, by "what you like" does NOT include unflattering (read: almost ALL!) pictures of yours truly! LOL!

Well that was like watching a movie of the best kind...good friends getting together, loved the tiny plane, never had one that small myself but it looked like a lot of fun and certainly the best kind of beautiful sightseeing one could have. I could feel ht ebig smile on my face when you two started talking, like I was there too, it was wonderful to see you both in real life! So much beautiful scenery and Kiba to boot! What a sweetie pie! So glad you had a great time together, you know what they say...."what the world needs now is love sweet love"...how nice to be able to enjoy this earth's beauty! Thanks for sharing. Liz

Phyrie, thanks for the "go ahead"! I wasn't planning on posting any unflattering pictures of you for heaven's sake, as they don't exist.!!! However, I was very mindful of your privacy. As you said, if someone wanted to know by now where you live, it isn't too hard to figure out. However, they don't know your exact address (but I do!!!)

I am going to see if I can post a link to my "Cottage" on here as it really was lovely!

The Cottage from the outside (only my unit was on the other side as they are a duplex):

My Living Area:

My Kitchen Area (which had a Microwave and Ceiling Fan):

My Eating Area (and where I had my laptop) plus a view of my Deck (which also had a small table, two matching chairs and a third, more comfy chair):
Image

My "oh so comfy" Bedroom:

Another view of my Bedroom:

My Bathroom (with the strangest shower implementation):

Standing at my Bedroom door, looking down the Hallway (2nd bedroom is to the left/Washer/Dryer unit in large Cupboard to the right):

I think that is all of the ones of "The Cottage"! It was very comfortable, had everything one could need or want, including Bunk Beds in the 2nd Bedroom which I used as my Dressing Room as the only thing missing were a Chest of Drawers. The Kitchen was well supplied, with a variety of Knives, as well as cutlery and decent dishes/glasses/cookware. The only things missing that I borrowed from Phyrie were a Wine Glass and a Non-Stick Frying Pan!

I want to go back there as soon as I am able!!! Next time though, I want to stay for a month, or at least 3 weeks! The time went by far too quickly. ♥
