when my daughter brought the puppy home, I came to you all for help...I wasnt yet diagnosed at the time, but wasnt feeling GREAT. I had been to the doctors a week prior and my doctor said it was "just a virus" but I was so very tired...pretty much just sleeping and potty training this baby....

I hadnt planned on this boy coming into my life and I didnt want to make a rash decision about him....so I took things one day at a time, spoke to you folks and consulted many folks on my end. (vets, trainers, etc...)

I went to the doctors that monday about my lingering cough/fatigue, and it was then that she prescribed zithromax as she heard pneumonia in my lungs.I spent that entire week OFF from daycare (That was Ringo's first week here), mainly taking care of the puppy and sleeping, no kids were here. The doctor stated that two days off from work would be sufficient. I took the entire week off to be safe. It was only this last week that I went back to work. I went above and beyond my doctors orders.

I am not irresponsible as you are making me sound/feel. Please don't judge me so harshly...

Ive taken the best care of this sweet baby that I know but I am still very tired...

I wasnt trying to "punish my daughter" as you suggested...I am not that kind of person, I was looking forward to her returning and to her help...and insisted upon it. Maybe that wasn't the way you all would have handled it but you arent me and you arent in this situation, you are just sitting home and judging me...

I realize you all feel angry with me as you didnt have all the facts.....and I was abrupt with my post about him going to stay with my daughter....ive just been so tired...

Im doing the best I can, if you all feel "petfinders" is the best place for him now after all this, I will consider your advice..

sincerely,

Jill

lastly, and to make this story "super fun"...

I have non-hogkins lymphoma and my daughter has Multiple sclerosis.

my daughter lives with her Dad. He said she couldnt keep the puppy at his house...so she brought him here. I was too tired to argue with her and took this sudden arrival one day at a time... not realizing I would fall in love ...funny thing about love....

Anyways, Im in an apt in a home that is being sold by the owner. I am supposed to move out by September 15th, I dont know where im going to be living or if the puppy will be allowed to stay.

Ive been calling him HERS this entire time, which she obviously isnt going along with...I was hoping in my heart that she would grow to love him...im an idiot....

I have many decisions to make, I know, I just hoped it was going to be easier than this to make...I hadnt planned on keeping him, I hadnt planned on falling in love with him...

There is so much going on....please pray for us...

Please forgive me for not airing all this at the get go...ive been overwhelmed and tired and doing the best I can... I dont know if Ringo will have a better life somewhere else....you all probably know best because you are all the "experts"...im just an idiot who didnt say NO when my dear daughter walked in the door with this fluffy ball of fur with the star on his chest....

Hi Jill,

I have been extremely busy and thought I take a moment to pop in and offer my wishes for your health. Being so sick is not fun, I do hope you get to feeling better soon. It's hard to take care of others and a little pup when so sick, I'm glad your up and going again.

I'm sorry to hear you have to move, you have a lot on your plate on now.

I wish you the very, very best, you must feel so stressed.

I will pop on from time to time, Hugs!

Ringo is a cutie. He is getting big already!

Jill, you're not an idiot. You have just been dealing with situations as they occurred and who wouldn't fall in love with Ringo? He is adorable. I hope you make a speedy recovery. I have had two friends in the past who have suffered from Non Hodgkins Lymphoma and both made a complete recovery. Good luck to you. You know we are here to support you whatever.

Jill, without knowing all the facts and only using the information provided, I should apologize for upsetting you and making you feel as though you were being judged. You are not being judged!!!

It's very easy to see how you could fall in love with sweet Ringo. He is an adorable boy.

I do hope your health improves as coping at the best of times can be very challenging, but even more so when one is ill. Your plate is very full at the moment. As I mentioned to you privately, and I will on here as well, no matter what choices you make, we will support your decisions.

It's hard to make decisions when there are so many things happening to you all at once. I can totally appreciate that. Lastly, as Tracy said, you are not an idiot!!!

Please feel better soon, and again, I apologize if I made you feel judged or like an idiot. That certainly was not my intent.

:)

Jill, I'm glad we're sorted angel! You need to take that time for yourself. Quiet time, where you can just be "still" is what you need right now, if only for one day. ♥

As I said, and as others have said, whatever you decide, we will be here to support your decision. It's time Jill took time for Jill. Demand it as no one is going to give it to you.

Hugs right back at you!

Thank you! My 22 year old son fell in love with him and wants him now. I guess if my next home doesn't work out for dogs, I might consider him. we have been socializing well, he is doing great with the daycare kids and getting MUCH BETTER with his crate. I notice when he gets crabby and feisty, he needs a break, he seems to REALLY like the crate at these times.. He is still very much a Mommas boy but will follow a perfect stranger down the street! I cant take him out without a leash anymore...he is very good with the treat and will sit and lay down for them, and follow me, I just have to remember to keep the treats with me! How does everyone keep treats with them all the time (if you do)

In their pockets, or some people actually acquire a "treat pouch" that is washable and can be attached to oneself.

I'm glad to hear that your son is also being helpful. You sound as if you're feeling better, and that things are going well, which is wonderful to hear! :D
