I live in Anderson, California.

I honestly dislike Anderson, at least the city portion. The cities rates for many things aren't that great, the county we're in has the highest rate of Chlamydia, high rates of teen pregnancy, lower employment rate that state average, etc, etc.
It's wet, cold, and stormy in the winter, rarely snows, and in the summer it's blazing hot.
But the outside cities, the ones that are less city and more country... God I love them. We have some gorgeous mountains, beautiful lakes, I would LOVE to get a house up in the mountains here. When it snows, it's just gorgeous. Shasta caverns, Mount Lassen, Mount Shasta, Yosemite National Park. And on the coast, the gorgeous Redwoods.
And the city under us (so to speak) is just huge open yellow fields, and I love the country, but it's not "fun" to walk through due to everything being so dry, many Rattlesnakes (which I LOVE snakes, but obviously this could be the end of a dog or you if you're not careful) tons of stickers, thorns, ticks. But I still find it gorgeous.
Feel free to ask me any questions.
Pictures of course
This is where we go for lure sports, (yes Dakota's in that picture somewhere chasing a lure) it's a mix between the fields and the forest. Considering the field is actually green.

The lake where we hold dock jumping practices. Whiskeytown Lake

The only thing I like about the city I live in, Anderson, is the park. It's gorgeous if you go back into the farther back area. But sadly it's a bit dangerous for us because of there being so many loose dogs, laws are not well reinforced here.
These are old pictures, when Dakota was about 8 months old.

Up in the mountains, this is the part of the North State I fell in love with. (Another old picture from puppyhood, sadly we've only been able to go to places like this... maybe 3 times. My family likes to go camping in commercial camp grounds, which I HATE... no peace and serenity. I go to the mountains to get away from the people, yuh know?)

Road in the middle of nowhere, road 4-wheelers, horses, and at first bikes (obviously that didn't work out) up the hill, down and up 3 times and didn't see a single soul.

My grandfather's creek, the beautiful part of the country/dry fields. Near water it's green, then if you get maybe 100 feet away, it's all dead again

And where I'm dying to go to with the dogs. The Redwoods on the coast
