New to the forum, and owning a puppy!!!

Hi everyone,
I'm new to this forum, and to owning a puppy!!!
I picked beautiful Maya, a Staffy x Kelpie up yesterday, at only 7 weeks old (owner told me she was 8 weeks and ready to go but found out that she was only 7 weeks later).
She is the new love of my life. So I have been looking around for all the right information so I don't do anything wrong!!!
So far she is very clingy and won't leave me alone, which I'm putting down to age and her new environment.

And she is busy chewing everything she can find!!! Puppy proofing my house is going to be very hard with this little one.

We had her first vet check today too, and her first vaccinations. She is all healthy and perfect!!!

Now I understand why your puppy is 7 weeks, I've seen this happen. Backyard breeders getting rid of thier puppies too young and telling owners they are actually older. I provided you the Housetraining Thread, it has good info there.

You must help her not to be so clingy, introduce to people and let them love all over her.

Have fun, the chewing will get worst! We do have a thread for that as well, see the "Behaviour Section" lots of good info for you. She is a cutie for sure. Since this is a worlwide site, where abouts are you (exact town not needed).

I'm new too Welcome! Maya is super cute! And I know what its like to get your puppy before she was ready to come home. My girl will by 5 months next Monday, but I remember when she was still as little as Maya. Its a long, sometimes frustrating, but incredibly rewarding road! Just provide her with TONS of toys to chew, and every time you see her chewing something she shouldn't, say "ah ah" or "not for you" and then give her a toy instead Sometimes it takes a couple of trys, but she'll get it Geez....I think I walked around for at least a month with toys hanging out of one pocket, and treats in the other (wasnt too fun if I forgot to take the treats out before I threw my pants in the wash!!) but now I dont need either, and she automatically goes to her toys when she wants to gnaw on something
