WOW Nezza,Gorgeous place,I had a really good friend who was an expert woodsman,we spent a lot of time hunting and fishing together before his untimely death in 1962.I continued on afterward and spent many nights in the woods with my Coonhounds but it just wasent the same...When I was a kid, although we lived in a city there was a woods and a river nearby where my friends and I often played..My grandfather often visited and we would walk there wile he taught me about all the trees, plants, bugs and critters that inhabited the place. So you can see I have had a lifelong love of the " boondocks". I think it may be hereditary or something
Kian...I am also fond of your neck of the woods and since I am a student of Archaeology, Mesa Verde is one of my favourite places. I could not negotiate the steps anymore so I guess I have been there for the last time....I do have lots of great pictures though.Cest la vie and all that jazz.
I have given the person with the JRT chapter and verse on what is entailed in the training and ownership of a service dog.i once found a lost GSD,after extensive efforts to locate her owner came to naught I trained her in basic obedience I then offered her to an organiseation which provides service dogs to the handicapped .They would take care of the advanced training and placement...She passed her entry tests with flying colors and was accepted. The liked her progress so well that
they kept her longer for some additional training. Finally she joined a young College student who was wheelchair bound and lived in Chicago.I was invited to the graduation and placement ceremony ( about 100 miles away ) but on the day of the event there was an ice storm and I was unable to make the trip.I would have really loved to see her one more time and met her new owner.
Hope everyone is haveing a good time today. We are going to the Hospital to visit the OH later and take a little Christmas to her.She is in good spirits and looking foreword to haveing the problem fixed this Friday.I hope it works this time

BTW A snowstorm is waiting in the wings here with beaucoup snow and expected to arrive this evening
