Hi Janet! Zoey is a cutie, and I am a long time Golden lover, so I'm sure once Sadie realizes this snippet is here to stay, they'll eventually become the best of friends.
My Cavalier, Oliver (the Blenheim) had much runnier eyes as a youngster than he does now. He just turned 9 this past week. The suggestion given to you by Richard is an excellent one, but some breeds/mixes tend to have runnier eyes than others. It's hard to tell in the photo you posted and I purposefully had a look. Because Oliver has one white eye, I really disliked the discolouration of his "weepy" eyes when he was a puppy. I looked into the causes for it, and discovered they are mostly internal. My other Cavalier, Henry, doesn't seem to have the same weepy eyes (he is 3 now) but then he has dark eyes, so perhaps I just couldn't tell as much.
As long as your Vet doesn't see an issue with it, and if you improve the quality of the food, I wouldn't worry about it too much. Just keep tissues on hand and enjoy your new little one.
The Daily Puppy is about all puppies, big and small, young and old, so we would love to see photos of Sadie as well....says she who adores Goldens!
Welcome to the Daily Puppy from Oliver & Henry, and their Mum, in London, Ontario.
