SNOW!

Postby pawsforthought on Fri Jan 18, 2013 1:40 pm

We don't often get snow so it's exciting!! :D

Here are the dogs enjoying the snow (long story short I don't REALLY live at home any more so these guys are "my" guys now, they're my friend's dogs but we both consider them "ours" as I take responsibility for them now too )

Anyone else have snow at this time? the whole world comes to an end when it snows here, no one can work etc, we just can't handle it as a nation *facepalm*

LOL the look on Fiinleys face is priceless....what's this white stuff? Milo seems to be enjoying it. My three love the snow, they think it's great. We do have snow, did you see the picture of Ice laying in the snow on my Timeline pic? They even know the word snow, we have to spell it!

Got snow down near me, as well. I don't think there's anywhere in England where it hasn't snowed yet.

Milo and Finley do look a bit confused with the snow! Is that the first time they've had snow? I've yet to find weather that Kayenne doesn't love. She was excited in the snow last year, and this year she's just plain crazy for it. 8) Keeps looking out the window longingly, even after we've been for a walk!

It's not their first snow no XD Milo isn't all that bothered with the snow really, he just carries on wanting his toy thrown though on our walk today he went crazy romping round the field we went to

Finn saw his first snow last year when he was still a little baby (good job he's put on a bit of weight and has more fat to keep him warmer, he still has to wear his fleece lined coat when we're out and his Trover when indoors though, he gets too cold!)

Kian- I love that picture of Ice, he looks very handsome! I wish I knew what Monts and Woods were up to in the snow XD Monty once climbed up on our ping pong table when it was icy, which he has never done before.

I videoed it,he barked at Woody because he couldn't figure out how to get back down to where he was :P - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8yww6Rr_9OE

Anyway here's a PROPER picture of Finny enjoying his walk today, we had a lot of fun but it was very slippery walking to the field with two strong dogs attached to us!

Gaby, those are lovely photos! :D

I'm going to attach a couple of photos of Oliver and Henry in the snow from 2 years ago. We haven't had as much snow since, at least not yet this year. I thought this might amuse you. I may throw in one of the drift off of my roof and my deck from that same winter because I don't know how to post these elsewhere as we had been discussing.

Those photos are great! I love Oliver's expression in particular  Henry doesn't look all that phased haha

I would love to encounter as much snow as you'd get xD I went ONCE to Switzerland where my nanny was born and it was amazing how much snow they had even in warm weather. I went skiing for the first time too and I was a natural :p I think I'd be well suited to live somewhere with a lot of snow and cold weather. I'm always everyone's hot water bottle to heat their hands on in cold weather and I get way too hot in mild heat

Actually, Gaby I think Winter Sports would really suit you! I can imagine you enjoying skiing, and we have some of the best skiing in the world here in Canada. I've also been to Switzerland, St. Moritz and it was so beautiful there. It's amazing how the snow stays on the Mountains, and people ski and sunbathe in the summer even. It wasn't cold though. :D

Henry is really still a baby in that picture. He looks like a "Catfish" with those eyes and his whiskers, whereas Oliver does love the snow. Henry likes it a lot more now that he's older and has a decent, full coat. It's been quite cold though the past few days with the "Windchill" making it feel like -25C in the middle of the day. I live in the most southerly part of Canada, and when I lived further North, it was much colder than this, and more snow.

It is snowing again right now, but ever so lightly.
