Dutchess, I miss you my friend

It is hard to believe that almost a year has passed since we had to put Dutchess to sleep. We should have done it a week earlier, but wanted her to have one last Christmas with us.Dutchess came into my life as a rescue when she was 4 and left for the "Bridge" when she was 7. She became very ill in late October and we tried everything, but she was in so much pain that my wife (Doggymommy) and I spent the day after Christmas last year saying goodbye to Dutchess. I only had the pleasure to be her friend for 3 years, but time is irrelevant when you have such an instant bond.

I miss you pretty girl, but I know you are feeling better and playing with all my past dogs. I will meet you again at the foot of the "Bridge" with all the others...and we will all cross the "Bridge" together... to be together forever.

Dutchess, mommy loves and misses you. Hang in there sweetheart, we will see you soon. Give Dakota, Axel, Wicht, Tarzan , Ajax and all the rest ( too many to think about or I will cry) lots of kisses from daddy and I .

Thank you all. Being a guy ( Gary will understand and Marco's Dad) it is hard to show or even admit we men have emotions. It was hard to do this, but Dutchess deserved a special mention.

I am so sorry about your loss and I can imagine your pain. We just lost our small best friend on the 5th of January and I am scared how much pain we will still experience in the coming year. I hope you get through it in someway.
