Oh I do love those pictures! I can just smell the roses. Heavenly!

Philip I did manage to post a few pics today of the wild turkeys in a new thread I started. I was also thinking of starting a thread and having all my DP friends help me plan my garden. I could take pictures of where I wish to plant and seek some horticultural advice :D

First it was the camera, now it is the garden....your images are truly inspiring. Thank you

You are right about being inspiring. I have been looking at my front garden, which at the moment is under at least 2 feet of snow, maybe more, but I am wanting to load it up with everything that I have seen, cabin fever for sure!

There is no comparison with your beautiful pictures, but I wanted you to see the wave petunias. I posted this morning that when I got home tonight I would upload a picture here. There are actually only 3 pots here, the rest of the flowers are growing in the mulch. They just spread out in waves across the mulch. I couldn't believe it the first time they did this. Every spring when I put my pots back out I have to be careful not to crush any new little starts! I almost always fill the pots with wave petunias and geraniums, love them both. Then I have many perennials that come up every year. I would show the 2 I added last summer, but they are in memory of Boomer and have his memorial in the picture so I won't post them here. I can't wait until spring!! You gave us all the spring bug!!!

Ok you asked for it so here goes. The pink flower is from my mom to plant in memory of Boomer, its some kind of lily but I don't know the name off the top of my head. I have the tag out back by the plant.......not going to go out in the dark right now  . The yellow plant is a day lily and thats what I chose to plant in memory. Also in the first picture you can see the stem of an Easter Lily at the top left, I planted that in honor of my dad 2 years ago. Around the post are Live Forevers. They get purple flowers in the fall. I'm hoping I can add to this corner of the garden this summer if I can keep Sadie out!!
One of my favorites is just out of the picture to the left, my daughter bought me a miniature rose bush 3 or 4 years ago. The first year the rabbits ate it, the second year it grew about 6 inches and had one or 2 flowers. The past 2 years it has gotten about 2 feet tall, full of blooms and smells wonderful! It bloomed up until the first frost! I will try to get a picture of that this summer.

Enjoy!

Linda, your petunias are giving me ideas for my garden. I love what you did for Boomer. My family had a courtyard at our home that was filled with my Mother's beautiful yellow roses. We laid to rest many of our dear friends there, with headstones laid into the brick of the house. Your tribute to Boomer reminds me of that...beautiful. I am inspired by all the colour. This has been a very long winter indeed.

Beautiful GwdGma, love Wave Petunias and what a nice tribute to Boomer. I have a similar one, right now it's buried under 2 feet of snow. The flowers on the altar are lovely. Looks like a beautiful church. Here are some of my flowers last year.
