I am so sorry for your loss. I know very well what you are feeling and and my deepest sympathy is with you.

My oldest GSD Dutchess is currently struggling with HGE. It is life threatening and after being hospitalized all last week , she is now home and we are still hoping and praying for her to get better. The Vet has done everything he could and now it is a waiting game.

HGE is something that happens very suddenly to an otherwise healthy dog, so this came out of the blue for us. If you don't know what HGE is , it basically is where the dog starts to bleed internally and loses all capability to form clots. That means any movement, bump or cut will cause her to bleed uncontrollably.

We are very scared. We already have way too many ashes waiting to be buried in the house and I don't think we can do this again so soon after the last one passed.

Anyway, enough about us...I just want you to know that your baby is at the "Bridge " with all of ours and every one else's and she is having a great time and in no more pain or suffering.

Please try to have a Merry Xmas anyway. I still put up stockings for all my babies that have passed and I put a special toy in each stocking. After Xmas I put the toys away and when we finally decide on a final resting place I will bury the ashes with all the toys.

Go in peace to all the little ones.

here is Dutchess taken in November, she loves to sit in the sun.

Doggymommy,

I am so sorry about Duchess. I have not ever heard of HGE, and looked it up so I would know about it. I hope she pulls through and you have many many more years with her. Hug to all, and kisses from my two to all of yours.
