There's a lot of us on this board now that own aussies. Anyone have problems with very sensitive tummies?

No, she hasn't shown any signs, but my Heeler was a little sensitive.

my previous Aussie didn't have a sensitive tummy either. Maybe it's just marco.. he is one of a kind

My aussie is only 10 weeks, but she loves to have her belly rubbed.

If you are a couch potato who likes to sleep in and going on a walk is to the mailbox and back, then look elsewhere!
The Aussie is high energy, active and an on the go dog. They are great with kids, bond well with family members, however, they need to be taught impulse control as they are a herding dog. Aussies need a job, teach your Aussie to catch balls, frisbees or anything that lets them run that natural high energy off. If not worked, they will devise their own job which may mean destroying anything in the house or yard. They need to be with their family and are very affectionate.

They are great a alarm dog, their hearing will certainly pick up on a unwanted visitor creeping outside the house. Naturally waring of strangers, they are natural kid lovers and once a stranger is approved they become quite friendly.

Aussies come in a variety of coloring and only one size is accepted by the AKC and the ASCA. There is a push for Minis and Toys by various breeders and supporters of the smaller Aussies to be recognized. The Mini and the Toy are CKC recognized and the NAMASCUSA/MASCUSA . There is a campaign from Australian Shepherd Breeders and the ASCA to make the Minis and the Toys a separate breed, the North American Shepherd. The jury is still out and no agreement has been met as of yet. Regardless the Minis are NOT runts, they are all Australian Shepherd if bred by responsible breeders.

Health issues in all sizes include depth perception, hip dysplasia.Toys seems to be prone to more health issues. Coats are easily managed with a good brushing and shed, they will. Many of us here have Aussies, which by the way are an American Breed. Any Questions, feel free to ask!

well marco is standard, he'll be about 23inches tall and about 55-65 pounds.
I don't remeber how tall allie is but she is quite a bit shorter then marco, and I belive that Kian said she was 25-30 pounds?
Marco says he doesn't care becuase his girlfriend is beautamous lol

And Allie loves the big strong handsome types! That's why she loves Marco and none else! (expect her mom of course)

My aussie doesnt have one that i no of yet .... (12 weeks old)
but i do no of a few that have sensitive stomachs
so your not alone lol

Haha, no. Topaz is an angel. When I say that, you don't know how much I mean it. She's a darling!!!

I'm surprised she doesn't though. We took her on a weekend trip to Chigaco and had to stop every 5 minutes for someone to pet her. I'm not kidding! People took pictures of her, held her, loved her. It was crazy. She ate it up. I was expecting her to become some kind of diva when we returned home.

Maybe Meeko read all the comments people posted when she was the daily puppy? Haha.

No attitude problem, even through she can be demanding at times, barking for this and that! She is a female..LOL
Anyway, I do work her a lot and that helps. Mostly she is a sweetheart.
