Haha, no. Topaz is an angel. When I say that, you don't know how much I mean it. :) She's a darling!!!
I'm surprised she doesn't though. We took her on a weekend trip to Chigaco and had to stop every 5 minutes for someone to pet her. I'm not kidding! People took pictures of her, held her, loved her. It was crazy. She ate it up. I was expecting her to become some kind of diva when we returned home. :)
Maybe Meeko read all the comments people posted when she was the daily puppy? Haha. :D

haha shes not to bad she just doesnt like not getting her way and being told no and when you do she chucks a hissy fit.
i just ignore her .. although sometimes i cant help but laugh 8)
which i shouldnt do.. lol

ohhhh i have the same thing! everywhere i go i have to stop, let them pat her, tell them shes not a border collie or a coolie and then explain what she is and where she came from.
haha
but it doesnt bother me,
Meeko loves the attention of course

ohhh i no she read all the comments! lol
after that she just walked around like she owned the house!
:P

I have a mini aussie. He is 11 weeks, and I'm just curious how big everyone else's was around this age (standard or mini)?

Meeko sounds like a real little diva. She and Topaz would have a blast together. :D I didn't let Topaz read any of her comments. If she saw all 202 of them, there's no way she's ever want to listen to me again! Until she got hungry at least.

No one ever thought she was a border collie. Maybe the difference in the surrounding area? Are there a lot of borders in your area? They all had no idea what so ever of her breed. A few people did know she was an aussie. But a very select few. I don't mind when people pet her either. When really bugs me is when people try to get her to give them kisses. YUCK!!! :o We don't kiss strangers!!! I don't at least. :D

Topaz is 13 weeks. She is about 15 pounds right now. She should grow to be around 50. She is a standard aussie from a showing line. The herding lines are usually smaller.

Marco is a standard and at 11 weeks he weighed 20 pounds..

Marco has a MAJOR attitude.. must be those male hormones.. he he's moody and snappy with madison if she tried to drink water with him, and he just gets bossy with her. he think's it's his way or the highway.. little does HE know it's MY way or the Highway  he does keep us on our toes that's for sure!!

i think its because in australia the breed is very unknown unless you do alot of showing.
and Also probly coz border collies are a very popular over here.
I hate it when strangers make they jump up (even when you tell them not to let them) they think its cute when there puppies but as soon as there older dogs its
"your dogs badly behaved" ..

Yes, Merlin has a sensitive tummy and so did his mother. He was originally on Royal Canin puppy, which he did well on, and now is eat Wellness which is fantastic. He is excited to eat at every sitting. A friend of mine's Aussies have sensitive stomachs as well.

We are enjoying life with "Ruby" ... a little Red-Tri Aussie. We just celebrated her first birthday on May 14. No sign thus far of a sensitive tummy ... nor in the two other Aussies who let us live in their homes (RIP ..Kempsey & Tess)
before Ruby chose us a her family as well.

Ruby, just as EVERY Aussie -- enjoys lots of active outdoor time. If you do not have time to devote to HOURS of playing ball, frisbee toss, etc -- please do NOT select this lovely breed. Their nature, their personality, everything about them absolutely requires being active.

There is never a time when we're out and about that folks 'oooh, and aaaah' over Ruby's beauty .. many have never heard of this breed. (We cover her ears and whisper that she is 'similar' to Border Collies ...but she'd be very upset if she heard us say that about her!)

Luckily, we have ACRES & ACRES of open outdoor space where she can explore, run, & romp to her heart's content. She has even learned to open the back door when she's ready to come back inside from her outdoor time (on those occasions where we humans might have come back in before she's ready).

These dogs are quick learners, faithful & loving companions, and devoted to hearing "good dog" from her human family.

Ruby is very cute! Love her coloring. You are completely right about their high energy level. Most people don't realize how high it is. It's too bad, because many people get an aussie, then can't handle it. I don't know what I'd do with Topaz if she didn't have lots of room to run........... Oh dear. :o I can only imagine the chaos she'd create!

If you painted her coat??? Oh my!!! That's pretty funny.

I took Topaz to the park yesterday, and we stopped about 8 times so people could pet her. We don't get nearly as much walking in as we could! :D That's okay though. Topaz loves the attention. Could you imagine all the attention they'd get if the three of them walked together? They would make an adorable trio. Topaz would love to chew Meeko's tail. She loves tails.

I'm going to go look at Meeko's new pictures. Topaz has some more up too. :)

My Sammy doesnt seem to have stomach problems. He does eat grass whenever he can and I know that is something dogs do to settle their stomachs. I do believe it is because he is a puppy and a vaccuum haha he will eat anything my boyfriend and I allow him to eat. He doesnt seem to have an attitude unless he is left alone or we say no to him for biting. He is only 9 weeks old right now and so he is still learning. He does not like being told what to do and talks back haha
He also has to be the center of attention. If he isnt for whatever reason he makes it so he is wether he does something cute or barks. We are always stopping so people can pet him and say hello. I mean EVERYONE loves Sammy and he knows it :) He does not like being alone either. If we leave the room even for a minute...he'll start barking. He is very young so we are trying to get him used to being alone sometimes. He is def a big baby but he is my baby :)

She would also talk back if we told her no but dont panic he'll grow out of it quickly if knows you mean buisness :)
haha when Meeko was left alone when we first got her anyone would think she was dying! and i alway wanted to go inbut i had to resisit speaking of ..
how cute is it to watch a puupy throw backs its head and howl! although she doesnt do it any more .. probly a good thing though haha
i was looking at Sammy pictures, and he has beauiful tan points! definately some of the brightest tan points iv seen i love them!

ohhh the 3 of them would be a colourful sight! im sure Meeko would be shocked to see another dog that looked like her :D (although she likes her reflection  )

I absolutely love listening to Sammy howl...its something my dog growing up never did. It kinda makes me laugh...but he is definitly entertaining. He was a terror last night tho...oh man...my parents watched him for the day and they arent used to puppies so they left him in the kitchen to play with his toys...which any puppy owner knows that is NOT going to tire them out one bit...well we got him to my boyfriends house and he went nuts...biting and tugging on the leash the whole 9...sooo to tire him out we walked...and walked....and walked lol as soon as he got in the car to go home...he was asleep. It was good for him tho. This morning he was so good except that while I was getting ready he dumped the bag of cat food out...I couldnt help but laugh because he had a bowl full of his own food on the floor but he had to have the cats food. He is just too funny. He would have so much fun with your doggy :) he absolutely loves meeting new friends and playing.

Mine tend to gulp down their food quickly and gives one of them a weak stomach. So I changed their bowls to the kind that has blockers in it to slow them down, that has helped.
