I have 3 aussies. 2 have tummies of iron, but I have to be very careful what I feed the third. Wheat ingredients in particular I try to avoid.

Ummmmm..... I'm drawing a blank...... Ear set? You mean how they're going to lay on their head?? I know the breeder told me that there was a possibility of Topaz's ears popping up. If they did, he said we would need to glue them. ( :? I'm glad they're staying down!!!)

That's great you figured out the color problem. You're not in the U.S. right? Is your camera the same as the 50d (or 40)? We don't have that camera in the U.S.. I was just wondering which one it was exactly.

Sadly, I don't have a SLR, (YET!!!!) so my pictures are not nearly as wonderful as yours Blinkme. At least I have a very cute model! :D Please be sure to continue to post pictures of Meeko. We should do it weekly. :D

Ahhh!!! Why do they come out so large??? I put them as JPEG files in Medium quality. They are too big in their original form. How are you doing your blinkme?

I must add this one of her smiling. :)

Once they are done teething, the ear set they have it what then typcially end up with. marco started out with floppy ears, and and slowly gone up and now that he's done teething a few months ago they've stopped , i read a lot of information about it and most of the stuff i found said once they are done with teething the ear set the have it what they get :)

lol yup thats the ear set. Theres different types rose, Hound, prick, semi - prick, button/triangle,
Prick and hound ears arnt part of the breed standard
im pretty sure anyways ( correct me if im wrong!)
Topaz's ears do seem smaller then Meekos, But i wouldnt think you should have to glue them if they do stand up unless of course you plan to show her.

i think its known in the US as the Canon Digital Rebel XTi
im pretty sure its not the same as the 40D as the 40 (in australian anyways) is the model up... i think :? lol
about the photos being large ..
im guessing your uploading them from here?
i use photobucket for my photos and i resize them from there :D

You're correct about prick ears and hound ears, they are not accetable int he breed if you're doing confirmation and stuff it's a huge fault. Marco Doesn't have Prick ears the tips fold over. I've tried taking some pictures of him today now that he's almost 8 months old but he won't sit still for a nano second today..

Thanks I tried several different ones, it was prob changing before your eyes! I have to resize and it seems to lose the clearness of the picture when I do that. :|

I agree Kian, the new avatar is adorable! :D

Blinkme- I was looking at those pictures of Topaz, and you're right. Her ears are a lot smaller than Meeko's. They seem too small for her head in those! They've grown a lot though. I never realized how much until now!

Question: Would you say your aussies have gained energy as they've grown, or calmed down? I know that the oldest aussie on this board is only 1 though! I was just curious. Topaz doesn't seem to have nearly as much energy as other people say their aussies have. Of course, my white Shepherd might have been a super hyper dog, and Topaz is just calm compared to her!

I have always owned hyper dogs, for some reason I just like them. Her energy hasn't changed, however, her ability to control it has, which makes for a calmer dog. My heeler was hyper even in his older years and people used to comment how calm he was. I always replied, want me to get him hyper for you? It's the same with Aussies, I can redirect her and have control which gives the appearance of a calmer dog. (sometimes.....still working on that however!)
