I live in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada which is about 5 minutes from Edmonton, the capital city of Alberta, where I was born! (How's that for a run-on sentence!)

Phyrie, I would love to live where you do...I saw a photo in an older thread, I believe it was called "Where does your dog live?", it was taken from your front porch...amazing!! I don't even think I would mind having to take the ferry all the time. I do enjoy my alone time and as long as I had my dogs with me and the OH (some of the time) it would be perfect!

See and I could use a little winter. I miss the Midwest where we had a nice four seasons. San Antonio is seems has two seasons: miserably hot and not so hot.

Sara, come to my house in January and February. I live in London, Ontario, Canada and we have tons of snow and it becomes quite cold. Last winter was brutal. I'll go to your house and you can come to mine

I'm sure I'd complain if I had to go back to cold weather winters but I have all these winter clothes I never get to wear! And I hate that Christmas just doesn't seem like Christmas without the snow. We've been having a terrible drought since I've been here (about a year and a half) and suddenly the heavens have opened up over the last three days. It's been very nice other than the boys wrestling in the mud in the backyard. They've gotten multiple baths and I have a couch that has muddy paw prints on it. I should have though to take pictures to post! Nothing cuter than a muddy puppy!
