We've been Trick or Treating. I dressed as a witch (very easy for me), SS dressed as a witch's cat and daddy was a zombie (easy for him  ). We acquired at least a year's worth of sweets. We had our photos taken for the village website and we met almost all of the village children doing the rounds which is good because last year I think we were the only ones who ventured out.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN OR SAMHAIN OR ALL HALLOWS EVE.

Tracy,

Did you get pictures? I'm sure SS was adorable at a witch's cat!

RJM, I don't have a working camera at the moment. I might have an old picture of him in his costume. I will have a look.

I'm giving out candy at the door, in between posting on here, and having a lovely time. I really enjoy the little ones. I had one little tyke this evening, who could not have been more than 4, with his younger brother and sister (and Dad) tell me his life story, dressed as a Pirate. His little sister was the most adorable flower I've seen in a while.

Scary stories, anyone?

Some of these are obviously not true, but others might creep you out! Look at the picture and video too!

we had two groups of kids coming by our house, none wanted candy though they just wanted to see the puppy lol.. but im not sure how they knew we had a puppy? makes me wonder if kids are coming up to my fence when we're at work.. we are near a school.

My husband and I sort of got into the spirit and watched a horror movie.. was called "the children" don't know if anyones seen this? but it was so creepy!

RJM...oh my goodness you made me laugh! When Oliver was little, the OH would play the "Barbara Game" and he would walk like a monster towards Oliver, who thought it was a riot, and say "we're coming to get you Barbara" from that movie! We still call it the Barbara Game only Oliver can't be bothered anymore and Henry is too afraid of it...we'll have to tweak it for Henry's sake

I got a good haul of candy which the "Halloween Fairy" took. ( Thats the fairy who comes a couple nights after Halloween and takes your candy away and gives to goodwill and she is now know as my mother).
Grrrrr I want my candy!

No Candy or Kids around here. Basically it's just us "older folks". We are the youngest on the block! LOL! I remember trick or treating. I had a homemade Indian Costume, and "Corn beads". That was the best outfit, and I wore it for many years.
Memories...
