Thank you Tracy. Yes he did live life to the fullest.

After he was born it was months before we found out what was wrong. My daughter , son-in-law and I took turns sitting up with him because you could lay him down,he'd turn blue. When we did get a dignois , the nurse said we'd be lucky if he lived to 3 years old. Well we decided we would take what we could get and make the best of it. We always told him he could do anything he wanted,he just needed to try hard. He played ball, he loved fishing and going hunting with grandpa Stacy. We had a wonderful 15 years with him .I wished it had been longer but most of it was a very good time. At his memorial there was over 200 hundred people ,he had a way with people. He was such a joy and he inspired so many people to try harder and be a better person including me.

Wonderful pictures of Chris and your family! It sounds as if he put a lifetime in his 15 short years and really had a joy of life. He was a beautiful boy.
It is hard to understand why such illnesses seem to hit the young, but they leave a lasting impression on the lives of every one who knows and loves them.
Blessing to your whole family!

From all those lovely pictures I can tell that Chris was a happy, and wonderful son, grandson and brother. My heart goes out to you and his parents and sisters. He sounds like he was a wonderful example and inspiration to everyone he knew. Its so amazing how he suceeded and went past all negative expectations. His story is an inspiring to me as well.

Sher, I am sorry that you have suffered a terrible loss this year as well. You know only too well what Brenda is feeling.

Brenda, I have to say that Chris looks exactly like you. He looks like a happy, loved, child with an easy smile. I can see how people were drawn to him. Those are lovely pictures.

Thank you for sharing with us. :)

He was the class clown ,the one looking out for others, first to play a practice joke and the first to stick up for his family. We refused to give up on him when he was a baby and he maded the world a better place. Worth ever sleepless night and time and money and heartache. I'm proud of his sisters also, the went thur so much and came out wonderful caring young ladies. We are really close because of all of it.There has been alot of heartache but we have found alot of good also. If I can help someone else ,help their child because of what I've learned about C.F. it would be great. I remeber at first not having a clue what C.F. was or what to expect but with reschearch ,I've learned alot.I still try to keep up on new breakthurs.

Brenda, there must be a Cystic Fibrosis support group you could join if you did want to help other families affected by the condition. It sounds like your life is quite busy enough though with your job and your family and your crafts.

Brenda,
There are many c.f. support groups on the internet and some even sponsered by major medical groups. It is so much help and support to give to those just starting out and learning when faced with a major illness. I am sure you could really have a lot to share with others who are faced with a similiar disease. I belong to a major braintumor group and the support and learning is overwhelming.
I always stand amazed at a young person like Chris who lives their short life to the fullest extent. He is a shining example to others faced with similiar life situations and I know he has been a great blessing to everyone who knew him. All of your family and friends will benefit now and in the future from having known and loved such a fine young man as Chris. He is a shining star!
My best
