Tracy & Sher,

Thank you for the thoughts. I belong to an online group and Chris pediatrtion gives my number to families around here just starting this journey. We gave Chris's IPV machine and percussion vest to people who needed them and didn't have insurance or state medical card.

It just seem this time of year I need to share Chris with as many people as I can. Seem strange huh? I think maybe it's my way of keeping him alive. It helps me to share good memories of him .Not all the memories were good but I think to remember the good and forget the bas. He got tired of taking his treatment and meds.,it was a struggle to get him to take them sometimes. The hospital stays ,isolation because he has marsa in his lungs but we tried to make it as good as possible. we played volley ball with balloons in his room .The PT guy gowned him up and played hit the doc. or nurse with balloons in the halls. He went to school as much as possible,I think it was important to be around kids his age.
Better get to work . Brenda

So you are already doing a huge amount Brenda.

It puts a lot of things in perspective to be reminded that there are children out there like Chris, who are just getting on with life, getting the most out of it they can despite serious illnesses. He was a shining example of this and puts me to shame when I think of the small things I moan about and hear others whining about. A lesson for all of us I think and possibly a new years resolution.

Brenda thank you for sharing a lovely and heartfelt tribute with us. The smile on his face in his last month shows his determination to not let this illness get him down. He knew he was loved, cherished and lived his life to the fullest. What a great example from a brave young man. Thank goodness for a good family who made his 15 years a wonderful time on earth. Brenda you have a heart of gold and it shows in your own goodness, may you and your family be blessed for the love you create and show around you.

Hugs sent your way!

Brenda, those pictures of Chris are such wonderful memories. I can see from them what an inspiration he must of been...to be sick yet so undeniably cheerful and light hearted in face of it all. What a wonderful tribute you have given him here. You are an amazing woman with a good heart, Brenda. It shows through in your posts...you and Chris must have been of similar souls. :)

LilDachundGirl,
Yes I'm sad at times and I miss him but ruin my life ,now way he enriched my life so much. I thank heavens for him everyday ,actually all my kids and grands. In no way do I want anyone to feel sorry for us.I learned alot from Chris,he didn't always want to take his meds,he wanted to give up at times but we all stuck together till it was to much for him ,then we said goodbye and stayed with him till he was with God I'd like to think.

I've learned you need to try to live life to the fulless ,while you can. Give of yourself, don't judge, you never know the whole story, and alot of times it's none of your business. Treat others as you want them to treat you,But don't back down if someone is doing something hurtful. Reschreach ,the doctors are human ,not gods, then gentle leave your findings on their desk,so it's their idea. Never give up but know when it's time to let go and so much more.

Thanks again everyone for letting me talk.

Brenda, you are so eloquent. There are so many lessons to be learned. Chris is a shining star, as we are fortunate that you chose us with whom to share him.

Anytime you wish to share, please do. I know I am certainly better for it, as you remind me to focus on what is important, and to accentuate the positive. Bless you!

Deb
Thanks! I do feel a person needs to look for the good in things and even people at times. Sometimes I'm wrong but you never know till you try.I do feel like a very lucky person.I have a good OH,my kids are finally settling down and doing much better.Even my grands are doing good the oldest starts college next Aug. She planned on starting sooner but things happen.

If it hadn't been for all the trials in life sometime you take things for granted. You miss out on to much if you do. Chris taught me to live each day the best I can, all you can do is try your best.Sometime I think he left us new years day so we'd remember tolook for the good in the next year. It started as a way to stay sane, now it's more.I don't dol new year resolutions I try to do the best I can and look for the happiness and joy in life. If you dewell on the bad it pulls you down. I'm to stubburn for that.

Hope eveyone has a wonderful new year!!!!

Thank you Tracy.

I like the first one ,it's not as good quality but it shows some of Chris's charm. Him in the middle of all the girls. The girls were alway calling.

Thank you all for the nice thoughts and words. I'm human ,this time of year is hard for me. I miss him. Then my daughter and the 2 girls went back to florida. They like it better there, which I want them to be happy, I just miss them. And the greatgran, thank heavens for webcams.I can almost be there.I'm hoping in feb. ,I can go visit but first I have to make sure Mom's new help will be there.

Brenda, it is quite alright if this time of year is one of reflection for you. It is more than understandable. I love all the pictures you have of Chris, but the last one really captures the twinkle in his eyes, and Royal Blue is certainly his colour.

I'm glad you are able to keep up with your family through webcams and the internet. It helps to shorten the distance.

I hope you are feeling better and that everything went well for you today.
