I just came across this photo of Ruby, it was taken on the first day the rescue pulled her from the pound...poor baby!

awww she was still adorable!! only the good people in the world are willing to give puppys in rough shape a chance, we need more people like you, especially were i live we get alot of sick puppys with treatable illnesses and people pass them up for it, i would take them all home but i cant.

The OH just saw that photo and asked "Whatever made you want to adopt her?"
For some reason I was drawn to her, she was the one I kept going to when I was searching on Petfinder.
I thought she had a sweet face, even with the missing fur...LOL!

RJM, I think I can see what you saw....the tenderness in those sweet eyes. Ruby Jean is a darling. She is one of the luckiest rescue dogs ever as she ended up with you.

Ruby,Mort and Kessler are just adorable. I love Kessler sitting to eat.Ruby is adorable even with the missing fur, her eyes say it all. I would also like to join the Mort fan club.

Ruby has thrived so well, one lucky dog! I had to show OH the pic of Kessler eating, he wanted to know what I was laughing at.

Yep, it's those Ruby eyes! It's like she was saying, please adopt me! and now her eyes show all of the love and fun she is having!
