That gave me a giggle. Watching them look up at the tree. Your garden is very pretty.

Chez, they are lovely! Apollo and Mia make a beautiful couple. Your garden is lovely, as Tracy pointed out. I enjoyed hearing the birds chirp as I am suffering from Spring Fever.

Thank you so much for the garden compliments  It's lovely in the summer eating out on the lawn - as long as the dogs don't get too excited by it.

My favourite video of them is the one where they're staring up the tree too. Mostly because of Mia's clear sulk at the end of the video, where she seems to be saying "Fine, I didn't want the damn thing anyway."

I agree, it was wonderful to hear the birds chirping.
The video of them playing made me smile, Apollo was having a great time while Mia looks on.

Chez, Mia is so adorable! She has the sweetest puppy face. What a cheeky girl she was as a teen :o Actually, she looks very comfortable, thank you very much.

Those are great pictures!

What a great breed! I love the picture of the 4 dogs and their owners that you said were the Meillion Gang. The first dog looks like he has a tux on the black (or dark brown?) part goes in an almost perfect square on both sides of his (or her's) front! I really enjoyed these pictures and learning about a new breed I hadn't heard of before!

They truly are a beautiful breed. I didn't realize that they were that large, I was thinking more like "big beagle" size. I can't get over how shiny they are. They are obviously very healthy! I know I've asked this before, and I'm sorry I can't recall, but what do you feed them, and do you do anything special to keep their coats in such good condition?

It's fine! I love introducing people to this wonderful breed, they're a real hound dog, running off nothing but tummies!

As for their feed, they get cooked pasta with sunflower oil, broccoli and either fish (coley) or sausage for breakfast, then kibble for dinner. We're slowly switching over to Orijen which is getting rid of the mild scurf in Mia's coat. Oh, Apollo gets an egg in his kibble, broken in half, and Mia gets one half of the eggshell to crunch. Mia isn't such a big fan of egg, unlike Apollo.

They also eat enough wood to build a log cabin and grass  And a little table scraps. Normally a scrap of bread and the gravy left on the plate. They're both spoilt  Another thing is, we're super tactile with our dogs - when we first got Apollo, the breeder, Pam, keeps her dogs outside in kennels and rotates them round so they each get a go in the house. Apollo's coat was really, really dusty and dry. After a week of being inside constantly, his coat began to shine up really nicely.

I think that's it for what we do coatwise. They get a good groom once a week, and like to scratch their backs on the CLEANLY VACUMNED carpet.

Oh, and as a little something extra, here's a few snaps of the Hamiltons at Crufts

The dog in the middle of that last picture is actually Mia's sister
