My bed is on the floor like Debs. I removed the frame last year after Orson's surgery and never got around to putting it all back together. So on the floor it still sits. I do however have many socks stuffed under my bed. It never fails that Orson will bring a sock to bed and me being to lazy to put it back right at bed time simply stuff it under the mattress, out of sight out of mind for silly puppies.

I don't think I really want to be the best in the world at anything but what I would really like to be significantly better at is putting nail polish on my left had that didn't look like I did it during an earthquake while drinking and wearing an eye patch. I'm a lefty so the right had always looks great.

I take medication with beta blockers so I get the most vivid and ridiculously mundane dreams. I wake up thinking that I took the trash out only to realize later I only dreamed it. The best one though was when I dreamed I had made breakfast, then woke up, went downstairs and wondered who in my house must of ate it on me.

I'm never great at coming up with a question. Sorry guys.

LOL Ange! I do enjoy your description of things. Helpful hint....keep one of those manicure sticks handy so when you do make a mistake, simply use the stick to clean it off before it dries, if you can wield it without mucking up the entire nail  If you lived closer, I would be delighted to paint your nails for you. We could have some wine and a nail polishing party! I never normally do things like that, but I think it would be a blast with you.

another question, guys - what breed of dog best describes your personality/life and why?

for me i want to say great dane. because i'm tall, quite strong and very gentle. but it's difficult because i can also be very ratty with my brothers!! although i think also because i am very loyal to my friends and if anyone has a go at them i can get very angry then. maybe i'm more like a rottweiler!!

Since summer is technically just around the corner (although I know some of our members beg to differ with all the snow and cold weather they have been having)...my question is gas BBQ or charcoal BBQ?

I love the taste of food off a charcoal bbq but the quickness of a gas bbq.

Since I am currently using an old charcoal unit, I have to say the charcoal although I agree that gas is nice if time is a factor. I always enjoy a nice glass of wine while the coals are getting ready. It is not such a messy cleanup with the gas, however. I always hated the cleanup afterwards.

What is the most relaxing thing you can think of to do? For me, it is a foot massage, done properly. My daughter used to give me the most heavenly foot massage and I could sleep like a baby afterwards.

Sit in the hot tub, jets full blast with a nice cold beer. HEAVEN!!! I wouldn't say no to a good foot massage though

Same question.

The most relaxing thing for me is watching Bailey play with other dogs. Somehow, watching him burning off all his energy and have so much fun, calms me. In the winter when the weather was crappy and we couldn't get to the park often, Bailey would have indoor playdates at his best friend's house almost every day. Him and Gaston would wrestle all around in the living room, while Cici and I would just hang out on the couch watching them play. I can't think of a better way to wind down after a long day.

Chandra, I think I'm with you on the Hot Tub action, only I would have a glass of wine instead. We had an outdoor hot tub at the Lakehouse and the OH and I enjoyed that many times in late October without the children, listening to Diana Krall and looking at the stars over Lake Huron. I'm relaxing just thinking about it. 8)

We also used a little Hibachi bbq up there and so I'm split on charcoal vs. gas bbq's. They are both great, but sometimes time is of the essence.

Since everyone seems to enjoy a glass of wine, a quick question; What type wine do you prefer or what is your beverage of choice?

I'll be the first to answer this one!! Winter: Shiraz, Malbec, or Red Zimpfendel. Summer: Riesling, Pinot Grigio, various fruity wines, or Sangria!!

As for relaxation, just vegging out with no one to bother me, no OH, no puppy. I know, I sound horrible but sometimes a girl just needs to be completely alone!! :) Hot tub would be a close second. Oh hot tubbing in the winter with the snow falling down on you and Champagne....

Kristen, I'm with you. Nothing makes me feel better about myself and at peace with the world than watching my dog have the time of his life. Cuddling with him on the couch with a book is a great stress reliever as well.

Since I'm only 19, (20 as of next friday  ) I don't know much about wine, but I do know I prefer red over white. I had an amaretto sour at a wedding this past weekend and it was delicious! Gotta love an open bar. Non-alcoholic: Cherry coke is soooooo good.

This past winter I was on a Cabernet Sauvignon kick. Now that the weather is turning nicer, I've switched over to cranberry juice or lemonade with vodka...or a margarita, but it has to be a good one, not too sickeningly sweet, one that goes down smoothly. I don't like beer, I've never aquired a taste for it.

Non-alcoholic, just plain old water for me!
