Phyrie, I am late as usual on commenting on your pictures but they are all so beautiful and serene looking. I wouldn't get anything done but enjoy in a place with a view like that. So relaxing! Kiba looks great! Of course, Kiba would look great with a sack over his head! LOL
I know what it is like for them to love being clean and spiffy but not like the process they have to go through to get that way.
Have a wonderful time on your vacation and we will miss you.

I finally unpacked the camera. I really didn't take a lot of pictures, but I've uploaded a bunch...

Heading into the Rockies:

From a bridge:

The Grand in the Backseat:

I may be married to Fred Flintstone, but even he couldn't concieve of how large the vehicle that uses these tires must be:

Heading straight into the mountains:
Image
DAYM, it's green out here!
Image
The glaciers left very pointy mountains behind...

Please ignore the bug splats in the foreground:

Woohoo, half-way there!

Kris said it would be OK to post the following. Here's a few from the poker night in Calgary. Starting from the far left, Kris (Kwak), Mom, Dad, Aunt Peg, Paul, and Micheal.
Image
Apparently I'm concentrating really, really hard on my cards. Kris seems very calm. She's probably about to beat my ass...
Image
Ooops, maybe not!
Image

Kris and I out for dinner in Calgary, this time on my camera!! LOL!
Image

Kris isn't the only one to see critters on the way...
Image

The Hope-Princeton Slide. I've never actually stopped at it to see it up close. It's stunning how huge it was...
Image
Image
This guy was hitting golf balls into the slide rubble. I don't know why. It bothered me that he was doing that, though. There is still two people lost under the slide, and this kid smacking golf balls over them seemed very disrepectful. Maybe it's just me, I don't know...
Image
And the informational sign about the slide:

And that's about it. Hope you liked them!

I thoroughly enjoyed your pictures of your drive through the mountain range. Your grand is adorable and those tires look so huge! I thought at 1st, eighteen wheeler then I looked again and I have no clue what they fit. Your pictures of the poker game were so good and everyone looked like they were having so much fun. Who won?

Those tires are probably meant for the trucks in the oil sands. Those things are GINORMOUS!!!

Phyrie,

These photos are just fantastic. I saw them all on Photobucket a week or two ago and OMG I so fell in love with that place. At that time I was thinking I would love to stay there all by myself for about a month or two just for meditation and wonderment. There is something just so fascinating about that beautiful water and the retro home, and it just stirred me. Thanks very much for sharing. Hugs to Kiba.

Hi again,
I hadn't seen all the photos when I posted before. I absolutely fell in love with Canada all over again. These Rockies are way too gorgeous. Ahh, I can breathe so much better just seeing all that green and fresh air. Although I live in an area that is not smogged in, that looks so fresh and beautiful. No wonder I love canada!!!

Phyrie those are great photos darling! You and Kwak look so serious at the poker table! How lovely both of you must be for the two of you to meet and end up in a family dining room playing poker?! I love it!

My goodness the Rockies are magnificent. We are so blessed in this country with such wide open spaces. I did find the first photograph with all the billboards and the Rockies in the background to be rather ironic.

You are as beautiful as ever my dear Phyrie! Hugs sistah

Wonderful photos Phyrie!
In the first few pics, the sky is so blue it almost hurts my eyes...just beautiful!

I mentioned this in Kris' thread, but I get so excited when DP members meet. I'm glad you and Kris got to hang out together, it sounds like you had a good time.

Soooo, who won the poker game? :P

That card game looks ver, very serious. Not much smiling going on.

The Rockies are beautiful. What does it say on the Alberta sign? Wild *something* Country?
