Thanks Kristen! There's no need to cut it down, hee hee!!

It's great when you ask for a particular recipe and they gladly give it to you. There's this bar in Concord, NH where we always went to after work that had the most yummy hummus and breadsticks as bar snacks. I asked the waiter (who knew my beverage order by heart) for the recipe and sure enough, he printed it out!

Alina, I thought the same thing about the size of the recipe

The one that Kristen posted sounds more like the one my friends used to make with Brandy and the other ingredients. My Mum is planning a family gathering for next week as one of us is having a birthday. Perhaps I'll make that and bring it to the party! If I do, I won't be driving home.

If a few of us got together, I'm sure we could polish off that amount of sangria  . As long as no one has to drive that is.

I'm willing to give it a try, Kris.

Tracy, It's a cocktail mixer used here.
I believe it's equal parts lemon juice and simple syrup, basically a sweetened lemon juice.

Mmmmm mmmmm mmmmmmmm :)

I made a batch of the sangria today. I cut the recipe down for 1 bottle of wine, made it this afternoon, and had it with dinner tonight. Yummy :)

Fun tidbit: I used the free bottle of merlot that we won on vacation in St. Maarten. We won it by being the fastest couple to pass a can of coke to each other from legs to legs with no hands (and walk with) at game night at our resort. We kicked everyone's butt :P

Kristen, you are making me want Sangria! I love your glasses as well as the story of how you won the bottle of wine. Good for you!!! I hope you enjoyed the Sangria. I must ask what did you serve for dinner to accompany the Sangria?

My sister and I were talking about Sangria at the BBQ last week. My friends used to make it, as I mentioned, and when they threw a huge surprise 25th b/day party for me, there was a "Gatorade" sized cooler of it, which was finished. On another occasion, I had taken my sister out for dinner to a lovely Mexican spot in Ottawa, and we had a pitcher of Sangria.

I told her that you had recently posted a recipe for it on here and she was very interested in having the recipe. Copy and paste is my friend. Sorry to digress so much, but Sangria is just plain fun.

Dinner tonight was something super fancy. I slaved all today over the hot stove.

I present you with...

"Chicken and Stuff" Yes, Chicken and stuff.

How you make it? Well you throw some chicken, potatoes, carrots, corn, celery, onions, and some various spices with campbells cream of chicken all in a crockpot. Cook on low all day and ba dum! You have chicken and stuff! lol

Normally when Craig and I go out to restaurants and get a pitcher of sangria (if available) it normally results in Craig drinking 1 glass while I drink the rest. Its just so tasty. I can't resist. And yes, sangria is just plain fun! :)

p.s. Thank God for spell check. This sangria turned out stronger than in the restaurant and I am not so good at typing after 3 big glasses... :P

p.p.s Oh for anyone wanting to make this recipe, the bartender warned us that mango puree or juice can be hard to find in grocery stores. We ended up finding some juice, but we also found some canned mango which we then put in our food processor to make puree. So that is an option if you have a food processor :)

0GUYS LOVE IT CAUSE ITS AMAZING KIDS LOVE IT CAUSE ITS OOEY GOOEY

Pepper jack stuffed bbq chicken
take chicken thin breast make sure its completely thawed! Cut a thin slice (more of a pocket)in the breast it tends to be slippery for obvious reasons so watch ur fingers and hand! take a slice of pepperjack cheese it can be squared or shredded whatever u prefer and stuff the cheese in side of the chicken. put a toothpick in the chicken at the end of the incision to make the cheese stay in. Cook the chicken in a skillet and flip the chicken every 5 mins and smother bbq sauce on it

My fiance is absolutely in love with the bbq chicken he ate 4 pieces last night when i made it so have at it

That does sound nice. I don't think I can get pepper jack cheese here. I'll have to look out for it.

You may wish to look in the area that carries cheese from California, or America. I wonder if you would even find that cheese over there. I know you could find an equivalent cheese.

We obviously get British cheeses and also a lot of French and and other European cheese but I've never knowingly seen American cheese other than Kraft processed cheese slices. Pepper Jack is Monteray Jack with Chilis isn't it? I'm sure I could find something similar.
