Puppy: James :)

Website:

Profile: James is a 6 month old pitbull terrier that my wife and I adopted when he was just two weeks old. His mother had a liter of 15 puppies and at the time we decided to adopt him she had killed all but 4. The very next day she killed two more, leaving his sister (the firstborn) as the sole survivor. He was the runt. At the time we got him he weighed only 1/2 a pound and the vet we took him to basically wrote him off saying the he only had a 25% of survival. I tried my best to bottle feed and care for him but he ended up inhaling formula and as a result developed aspiration pneumonia. For the next 3 weeks he rarley left my arms. Although we couldn't afford it, we spent just about everything we had to save his life. Once we took him we couldn't let him die at any and all costs. After a few midnight trips to the animal emergency room, a change of vets, and ALOT of love, he finally pulled through and is now a healthy, happy, 45lb pup that is spoiled rotten. We love him to death and in spite of the expenses and even being forced to move due to our landlord's bias toward pitbulls, (and the repeated protests from our 2 cats, Moochie and Marcus) we wouldn't trade it for the world.
