Puppy: No Puppies
Profile: Yes, I own a cat, but I love dogs too! My next door neighbors dog, Molly that I walk often is my best pooch friend. She's a darling dog! My husband and I live in Massachusetts, we had 11 cats at one time, only one is left. That's me with my Bootsie. We are considering getting a dog, when Bootsie passes. We have done more than our share of adopting stray cats from the neighborhood over the years. This situation is they are strays they come from the woods, and it's almost impossible to train them to accept being a mostly indoor animal. Bootsie gets a little of both worlds, he came to us from the woods as a teeny, weeny kitten. He's good about sticking around the house. He's never allowed to stay out all night. A dog in the future will be a much better pet to adopt, I think because he/she will be used to having to be restrained, meaning that he/she will be an indoor animal, and of course will be leash walked. But will never be allowed to roam free. You have to let cats from the woods have some freedom, they are too used to the way they use to live, if you keep them cooped up they just sit by the door and cry all day. As long as they are well fed and well cared for they will always come back to their good home.
