Bessie is a Peke that I'm adopting. She will be coming home next week. She's had a hard life but she's coming into a home that is ready and waiting to love her. Bessie was found pregnant and frozen to the pavement in a parking lot. She's been in foster care for several month and I took one look at her picture and fell in love. I filled out the adoption form and received an answer that almost broke my heart. She was already being adopted and although I was sad, I wished her all the love in the world with her new family. Two days later I received an email saying we were again being considered as adoptive parents. I was so happy. I received the phone call Friday night that we'd been approved. I called Bessie's foster mommy and learned her history. That made me love her all the more.
