Profile: About me, well what can I say other than I am a complete dog lover. They are the most awesome animals on this earth, and I thank God for our loyal friends. They truly are mans best friend. I love all my dogs, they are my children and I will fight to the death to keep them out of harms way. I find them so amazing. My husband is the same as me. Our puppies sleep in our bed, they go everywhere with us. Without them I feel that a household, a family is incomplete…

Lexa

Lexa

Hi everyone, My name is Lexa, I am a border collie. I am 14 weeks old and a very clever girl. I was named after my big brother Axel who passed away, Lexa is Axel backwards. I have 2 brothers and once cousin staying with us, so I keep them busy during the day when mommy and daddy are at work. I love Saturdays, mommy takes me to training, I get lots of treats for listening and everyone tells me what a cleaver girl I am. I have also been house broken, when I need to go at night I wake up daddy coz I know mommy likes to sleep, but on weekends I wake her up first… fair is fair right? Anyways I hope you like my pictures! Love to you all. Lexa

Diesel

Diesel

We got him when he was 3 hours old. My sister in-law called us and told us the mother was trying to kill him We arrived there to find his head had been bitten. We rushed him to the Vet. The vet informed us that due to the fact he had a extra toe she was rejecting him. The vet informed us he wouldnt make the night. After many days and nights of bottle feeding and taking him to work.. he is still around! Almost a year down the line.. he is happy and has accepted Lexa into our home, we thought we would have problems with him due to him being Bull Terrier but he is so protective over her it is awesome.

In Loving MemoryIn Loving Memory

Since I was 5 I always wanted a Border Collie named Axel. I got my dream. When I turned 16. He was the most intelligent, loving and caring animal I have ever met and probably will ever meet. He lived his live to the fullest. He knew who he could trust. He loved the beach and playing fetch. He always swam in the Sea with us, it didnt matter how far out we went. If he got tired I would piggyback him. I can only wish that I could be half the person he was. I always looked at him to see if my friends were trustworthy. He accepted my one boyfriend at the time when he was 4 and I am now happily married to him. He was with us for over 12 years. We had to put him down on the 23 of September. That was the hardest thing for me too do, all of his organs were failing. We received his ashes and when we go down to Cape Town again I will sprinkle them into the sea. He was my life, without him I am so incomplete. I love you my boy, and miss you with all my heart. They say memories are golden Well maybe that is true I never wanted memories I only wanted you A million times I needed you A million times I cried If love alone could have saved you You never would have died. If tears could build a stairway And heartache made a lane.. I would walk the path to heaven And bring you back again Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same.. But as God calls us one by one Our chain will link again Unknown

Moses (AKA Stinker)

Moses (AKA Stinker)

Moses, We got Moses (AKA Stinker) when he was 8 weeks old. Very loving and extremely protective. I think that he thinks he is a Rottweiler or something along those lines. He love playing with balls… at the moment he is the only one that knows how to play fetch…. Very sweet and loving… love him to bits….

In Loving MemoryIn Loving Memory

My husband found Rex wandering the streets. My husband stop to have a look at him as he was limping… only to find out he had been hit by a car, had mange and was abused. He was not wearing a collar. My husband brought him home. Axel wasnt too happy about this. We contacted the police and animal shelters, we were hoping someone would claim him. He had throughout the time he was with us a horrible infected ear. We sent him for an operation praying for the best and at the same time neutered him. As time went by he became very protective. He started to get aggressive and attacked one of our friends children. We could not have this with me having 3 step kids. Via a friend we found out that the correctional services required a dog like Rex and assured us he would be looked after and we can visit whenever we wanted. They would first do a full medical. Once they collected him after many hours of tears they called us two days later. Rex had a tumour and that was what was affecting his ear. The tumour was so bad we had to make the choice as he only had a month to live, this was also causing him to be so aggressive. He was an amazing dog, and if only the vets could have picked this up he would still be here today. Rest in peace my big boy and thank you for protecting us! More pics to follow
