Puppy: Honey Bear
Profile: A staunch rough haired collie lover living in rural (wooded) Rhode Island near the Connecticut border. I have owned 3 collies as pets throughout the course of my life and Honey Bear is the 4th. If I could take on 2 or 3 at a time, I would. These dogs are awesomely beautiful and loyal to a fault. They love people and are very trustworthy and protective of children and infants. No dog possesses a more gentle disposition and more majestic beauty than this breed.

I'm having my first birthday next week. Yippeee! I'm a fun-loving bundle of softness that takes my lovin on the run. I live in rural Rhode Island among the trees, fields and wildlife and have a big yard to roam in. My human has me on a wireless containment system so I don't wander too far into the woods. I love to romp and prance around chasing butterflies, tennis balls and playing frizbee with my human. I patrol the perimeter of my yard to alert my peeps of potential intruders (other dogs, mainly). I have a very healthy appetite and love vegetables and watermelon, as well as my usual Bowl of Beneful. In the evening I'm a 55 lb. lap dog, as I share my recliner with my master while we watch a movie or a ball game. I'm as gentle and good-natured as can be but a little stubborn sometimes when I get fixated on something of particular interest. I bark, of course! That's what collies do! But I'm getting better about keeping it to minimum. I'm a curious and independent soul but will follow my pop anywhere and everywhere throughout the house and yard; even if only between the kitchen and the den or front to back yard. If he goes outside, I must go, as well. I don't do crates and I hate getting a bath. But I do love to be brushed! Nothing like the feeling of my long, flowing crest bellowing in the summer breeze. I'm an early riser. If the sun is up, so am I... And, therefore, so should the rest of the household. I pounce on my master's bed with my front paws (cuz I'm not allowed on the bed) to wake him every morning. He gets a little annoyed on the weekends sometimes cuz I don't let him sleep in past 6 a.m. But we are inseparable as long as he's home. I don't particularly enjoy riding in a car so I generally hold down the fort while he goes to work and runs errands and such. All in all, I've got a great life and a forever home and family that loves me to the ends of the earth.View Profile
