We adopted Jack from P.A.W.S. Chicago back in '06. Despite his pre-rescue battle scars and tough-guy "alpha male" personality, he's really just a big sweet goofball with boatloads of personality. His foster mom told us he's Shar-pei/Beagle (you can really see the Shar-pei in his wrinkly forehead and huge schnoz), but we've come to suspect he's really Shar-pei/Foxhound due to his lanky stature and overall size (~50lbs.) When people always ask what kind of dog he is, we just say he's "a purebred North American Kennel Mutt." His favorite things are wrestling, eating, testing our patience, chasing squirrels, chewing rawhides, annihilating stuffed toys, playing fetch with the scraps of said toys, and sleeping on the couch when we're not home. We couldn't have asked for a smarter, sweeter, friendlier addition to our home.
