Paige

Paige

Paige is a very dark red female out of outstanding field bred bloodlines, her father was a great champion. She loves the field, but would rather hang around at home with all the other dogs and follow us around the farm and watch us do chores. She is from the same litter as Erik. Enjoy the pictures...

Hailey

Hailey

Hailey is a beautiful lovable big baby. She is a very smart and wise 1- year old dog. She is serious about her job, which is watching out for all the other dogs and the horses. She was born with hip problems and couldn't hunt very well. She is such a sweet dog, we couldn't and wouldn't give her away so we kept her and she has made it he job to watch out for the home and guard it against any intruders (Even thought she will lick you to death) ;) We love her very much.

Tahoe

Tahoe

Tahoe is our "Granny dog". She is 13 years old. She lives in the house with us and guards it along with Hailey. She is the mother & grandmother of all our dogs here besides Cracker. Her "Hubby" (AKA Grandpa dog) Casey passed away last fall at the age of 14. He was an amazing dog and is missed here very much. We dread the day that Tahoe will be gone, but she has no signs of slowing down, her muzzle has just started to grey, which we're happy about! We want her to stay young ;) She is very active for a dog her age and keeps going all day! Enjoy the Pictures...

Reagan

Reagan

Reagan is getting up there in age she is know around here as the "Momma dog" because she always jumps right in and takes care of newborn puppies right when they're born. She herds all the dogs together at meal time and at night. She even has learned how to latch the fence gates! She is graying in the face earlier than we would like, but we love her just the same. She is still very active and still hunting out in the field because she refuses to quit! Enjoy the pictures...

In Loving MemoryIn Loving Memory

3 weeks ago I found this "oldie boy" on the side of the road on my way home from town. From a distance I thought he was our neighbor's black lab Nero. As i got closer and got out of the car I realized it was not Nero... But a stray I had never seen around our place before. I kept my distance, but got some dog food out of the back of my truck to get him to come closer to me. I whistled and he came slowly but happily over to me. He did not have a collar or anything on him, I checked his teeth and the top ones were all rotted away but his bottom ones seemed to be perfectly fine. I knew that this dog had to be a stray he smelled awful and had blood shot eyes. Even if he was somebody's dog, they didn't take good enough care of him. I wasn't going to let him go back to where ever he came from. I loaded him into the crate I had in the cab of the truck and headed back into town. I got to the vet and had him scanned for a microchip but nothing came up. He then did some tests on him. He was about 10 years old, was going deaf in both ears, blind in one eye from what the vet thought could have been oil he got into but you could barely tell that he was even blind, had worms they were bad, and his heart was failing. They gave him a bath and then the vet told me that 'Baker' (what one of the vet - interns called him) told me that he would have died if I didn't find him, but he still would not last a week even in my care. I burst into tears that turned into sobs. I nodded understandably and took 'Baker' and his meds back out to the truck. I called my husband and told him to put all the dogs away in their pens out back, because I was brining a dog home. ****************************************** Just as the vet had said... A week and 2 days later Baker passed away in his sleep. He was a very sweet dog, despite his problems. It breaks my heart whenever I find a dog like him, but That doesn't stop me from taking them in. RIP sweet boy, Baker. You will always be in our hearts. And your story is one that I will never forget!
