Turner was rescued from death row in South Carolina and nursed back to health by a rescue group. He has been treated for heartworm and recovering nicely, although he does cough now and then. He has a beebee or shotgun pellet lodged in his heart, so we know he had a rough start. He is my snuggle dog, smart, happy, goofy, protective and loving! His birthday is the day he became ours (but he is approximately 3 years old).

Charlie is our other rescue dog. She was rescued from an abusive "Dad" who kicked her all the time. She was basically living under a deck because she was afraid of everyone except for my teenage son. Now she is queen of the castle and a wonderful happy lab!
