Profile: Hi all dog lovers on DailyPuppy! I LOVE all dogs and go crazy over their health. If I think my dogs even have a upset stomach, I check their gums, teeth, stomach, eyes, and nose to see if they have infections or something. I love all dogs and study all of them, especially Dachshunds, Australian Shepherds and Shetland Sheepdogs more commonly known as Shelties. These are my favorite breeds, The Aussie, Sheltie and then, last but not least, the Dachshund. I have had quite a few dogs, and still have three! My Aussie Goomba, my Dachshund Maya and my Sheltie Oliver. They all know how to do the show Stand, but I don't show them. All of them were rescues and the rescues told me I wouldn't be able to show them because they were to scared to learn the basic show commands! Basically I did it to prove them wrong. LOL! Goomba is a rescue puppy, Maya is a Rescue dog, and Oliver is also a rescue dog. I am a dog expert, but mainly on the dogs I own. Lol, I researched Golden Retrievers before I got Goomba because Goomba was a Golden Retriever. Well, Goomba wasn't a Golden Retriever. He was always a Aussie, but the dog I was meant to adopt was a GR. Someone from my street was gonna adopt the GR, so I let her while I got Goomba. I figured this way two puppies will be saved! Maya was found on a rainy day standing in teh middle of the road looking scared, wet, hungry and tired. The cars were peeping and trying to get her out of the way, so I 'Fast walked' across to get her. I took her home, called my vet, shelter, paper and everywhere I could think of, then I got a picture of her and made a few flyer's, laminated them and out them out. Two weeks and no one had claimed her so I figured she was just a street puppy who turned into a street dog. By this time, I had named her and started buying her things. My parents couldn't really say no when I asked to keep her :P. Oliver was found on a building site that one of my friends dad's was working on. He took Oliver home, and my friend (Tracy) said that I take dogs so he gave Oliver to me. Lol! Another thing my parents couldn't say no too. :D

Oliver

Oliver

Hi, and welcome. This is my baby boy, Oliver. Oliver was a site dog, found on a building site that my friend, Tracy's, dad worked on. Oliver got brought to me on the 1st of July, 2006. I assume he is around 4 and a half years old, but we call his birthday July the 1st. He is a very friendly guy who obviously had no owner due to his coat and body shape. He loves to play fetch with Tennis balls and Frisbees, he also loves to please people. My older brother wanted a dog to take to work one day because he was going to be on his own and he gets lonely, (lol) so I gave him Oliver. My brother, John, took Oliver home that night and a couple of men came in his house. Oliver was shut in a room before they entered, but he barked. I don't see why the intruders left when a dog barked from a locked room, but according to my brother, they looked at each other and just walked out but instead of turning around to leave they backed away slowly. John said they looked like they were going to shoot him or something, but they didn't. He was in teh kitchen while they walked in and he just looked at them, not moving. When they left he dropped Oliver off at my house and told everyone the story. I, personally, wouldn't have left if a dog barked from the other room (nor would I be in someone else's house un-invited). John said Oliver sounded bigger then he was, but he's only small so he wouldn't have sounded much bigger. Lol. No one really believes John, but he doesn't really lie so no one knows why he would lie about something like this. Oliver loves to play with his friend, Maya and puppy friend, Goomba. A few years ago, Oliver got Parvo. He was in the vet for two weeks, then he recovered. He got his booster shot a few months later and got Parvo again. No one thought he would survive it this time, but he did! He came out of the vet in December, 19th 2007 so he was able to celebrate Christmas and his older sisters birthday. Oliver is still with us today and loves his belly rubs, tennis balls, tug toys and family! He is the most social otu of all of my dogs. He loves all people, dogs, cats and birds, rabbits, rats, and mice, fish, frogs and toads. The one thing he doesn't like is grass hoppers. He is very obediant and loves performing tricks and learning them!

Goomba

Goomba

Meet my baby boy, Goomba. Goomba is an Australian Shepherd of 2 months 1 week, he was born on the 28th of April, 2009. He was adopted from teh local humane society one week ago. He loves to rush around after nothing at all and runa round with his big brother, Oliver. He also likes to cuddle up to Maya on the patio or on the sofa. He is a great water bottle and just loves to be free and runnign around. I will soon teach him how to do the show stand just to prove the rescue wrong. Lol! So far he can Sit, Down, Come and Wait, we're now working on the 'Stay' command. He lvoes to be trained, that's down to his breed though. He is a gorgeous little guy too! Picture one is Goombr and my older sister, Carol. :)

Maya

Maya

Meet my one and only baby girl, Maya. Maya is a Logn Haired Dachshund who was found on the 21st of December, 2004. She was onyl young when I found her, and her new birthday is the 21st of December. No one claimed the poor girl, and no one seemed to have seen her before. We figured she was a street puppy, so I kept her. I pampered her like a princess until she tried to bite my cat, then I stopped treating her like the only thing that mattered and she calmed down. She was found on a rainy day standing in teh middle of teh road, looking scared and shaking because of the cold. Cars were beeping and trying to get her out of teh way, but she wouldn't move. Everyone walkign just pretended she wasn't there apart from me and my friend, Laura, who were standing there just stareing until we actually realized what was going on and then I went and picked her out of the road. I took hre home and tried everythign I could think of to find her owners, but no one came forward. I ended up keeping her, and now she's a healthy happy dog. She loves her car rides and when you beep the horn. She starts wagging her tail and yapping like crazy when you beep it! She is friendly, but doesn't enjoy running much anymroe. Now she likes cuddling up to her new friend, Goomber. She also likes her younger brother, Oliver but prefers to cuddle Goomber. In some pictures you'll see her with ym friends dog, Sarabi.
