Profile: I'm Rebecca. I'm 27 years old, I have two kids named Ryan and Alexia. Ryan is in kindergarten and Alexia is in 1st grade. My husband is one of the many servant hearted men and women in Iraq and Afghanistan right now. My kids are always asking when he's going to come home. It breaks my heart because I would love to have my kids to be around their dad more. I know my husband loves what he is doing for our country and I love him for doing that for us, I just pray that he will stay safe so he can come home in 5 months safe and sound to be with our family for the next 3 or 4 years to come. Shortly before Alexia was born, we found a cold puppy at our doorstep after coming home from work. We decided we'd keep her until we could find her owners. We agreed that if we didn't have any luck in 1 week we would bring her to the animal shelter. Well that 1 week turned into 1 month, and we kept telling ourselves that tomorrow, we'll bring her to the animal shelter. 3 months had passed and we both where in love with the puppy. She had become a part of the family so we decided to keep her and name her Charity. She has been the greatest dog. After Alexia was born Charity didn't think she liked her at first because she was so used to all the attention. But she was so gentle with her and then when Ryan came, she was the same with him. The kids love her very much. She is getting older now but still lets the kids ride on her and pull her around. 3 years ago before my husband was deployed he found a lab puppy wandering alongside the road. He brought him home, and of course we fell in love with him. The kids would't let us find him a new home so he stayed... Alexia wanted to name him "Leo" because she always told us that if we ever got another dog that she got to name him/her. We all agreed that Leo was a good name for him. My sister who lives a half hour away has a son named Thomas. He would love to come over and play with our dogs all the time. They lived in an apartment so they couldn't have any pets. But they moved into a nice home last fall and my sister decided that a dog would be good for Thomas. So this summer on his birthday we all went down to the animal shelter and let him choose his dog. He picked out a 3 month old lab/terrier mix named Lola. He loves doing everything with her. He loves to brush her , feed her, walk her, play with her, sleep wit her, clean up the yard after her, etc. It joys me to see our children growing up with a responsibility and loving it. DOGS RULE!!! :)

Charity

This is my dog Charity. Shortly before my first born daughter Kerrin was born, we found a cold puppy at our doorstep after coming home from work. Now getting older, but not showing any signs of it! She has been the greatest dog. Our best guess is that she is a Australian Shepherd mix, she is very smart and knows how to get into things so can be naughty sometimes but she is so hard to get mad at. :)

Leo

About 3 years ago before my husband was deployed to Iraq he found a lab puppy wandering alongside the road. He brought him home and of course we fell in love with him. The kids would't let us find him a new home so he stayed... Alexia wanted to name him "Leo" because she always told us that if we ever got another dog that she got to name him/her. We all agreed that Leo was a good name for him. He is a very energetic and playful dog. But it's good because it teaches the kids that they can't be lazy with a dog like Leo. Before when we just had Charity all they had to do was let her out before school, feed her and walk her down the street and back. Now having Leo they have to play with him and walk him around the block and feed him, give him water, let him out and watch him closely so he doesn't chew on stuff he's not allowed to chew on. It's showed them the hard work a dog can be and how to properly care for a dog.
