When I moved to Chicago from home, I had to leave my parent's dog behind. I missed having a dog so much that I decided to volunteer at a local animal shelter. Six months later, I came in for my shift and found this confused and very sweet looking terrier in one of the cages. I immediately fell in love with her and declared that night that I was going to adopt her. Two weeks later, she was mine! Clara is an extremely docile and well-behaved dog. She's never chewed anything that wasn't hers, has only had a handful of accidents since I got her three years ago (and those were when she was sick), and never barks in the apartment. She's a cuddle bug and loves all people. Her favorite treats are Greenies and edamame (she begs for it anytime I get Thai take-out), and she loves running around in the park with her dog friends. I'm not entirely sure what mix of breeds Clara is, but my best guess is that she's a Wheaton terrier mix. The vet has estimated that she's about 5 years old. As a single young woman living alone, Clara has been my constant companion and best friend. I love her to pieces and can't imagine my life without her.
