Mortimer & Sailor

I got Mortimer and Sailor about a month ago. This is the only picture I have of them so far because they don't sit still long enough for me to get a good shot! This picture was taken when I first went to pick them up and it's a very lucky shot; they wouldn't stop moving and playing and it was the only one that wasn't all blurry! Mortimer is bigger than his sister, but she runs the show. He's the one under the bed in the picture and, as usual, Sailor is standing above him, letting him know who's boss :) They love to run and go to the local dog park where they have made a bunch of new friends, including a 140 pound St. Bernard named Brew and 5 pound Chihuahua named Macy. I always get asked about their names, especially Mortimer's. I'm obsessed w/ NCIS and in one episode, Abby has a yellow Lab puppy named Mortimer; that's partially where his name comes from. Sailor's came from the fact that I've always loved the name Sailor. Plus, my name is Marissa, which means "of the sea," Mortimer means "lives near the sea," and Sailor is kind of obvious. I wanted names that connected us all. One thing's for sure about these two: they rule the roost and are here to stay!
