Profile: I am currently dog-less. :( However, I do volunteer at the local animal shelter and walk dogs in my spare time. I love spending time with shelter dogs - they need walking, socializing, and attention that I'm completely willing to give. I'd love to own a dog, but I just don't have the space to house one right now. It's very hard to resist taking home some of the great animals that come through the shelter, that's for sure!

In Loving MemoryThis was my first dog - a Cocker Spaniel that I named Paw Prints. My parents surprised me with him around Christmas when I was 10 years old. He went missing from our backyard in 2006 - he was about 12 years old. We searched for him and looked in shelters, but never found him. I was never the best pet owner - I wasn't very responsible in my youth, which led to my parents taking care of him most of the time. Now that he's gone and I'm older, I realize how lucky I was to have him. He was a playful dog who loved to swim in the ocean and "rescue" squealing children from the water. I realize now what an honor it was to have him in our family and I miss him dearly.
