DPROX's Puppies

Bandit is a crazy, hyper, tree-climbing little dog. I have had him since he was about 3 weeks old. Yes, yes, I know your not supposed to get a puppy until they are at least 6-8 weeks old, but his mother had died after giving birth. The puppies were hopeless. They had to be bottle fed all the time, and it was difficult. The breeder let me take Bandit home at an age like this. His eyes and ears had just opened, and he was still getting used to his surroundings and everyhing. The breeder gave me an enormous list of instructions, including how to bottle-feed him until he was old enough to eat kibble. I constantly was with Bandit. I called him "Lil' Buddy" until he got to be 5 weeks and started to explore his world a little more. I noticed that he took whatever was within reach, and ran around the house like he was a bandit. That's when I started calling him Bandit and the name stuck. Now, Bandit is not an average dog. You see, there was the little tree in my backyard and when he was 4 months old, he literally ran and jumped ON TO a branch in the tree! Ever since, he has been a tree-jumper/climber. He'll go outside and even take naps up there. Other than trees, he likes the trampolime. He'll go crazy on there, and luckily its netted so he can't fall off. I also had to get a new 5 1/2 foot fence because of his climbing abilities. I love Bandy. He is such a sweetheart and no matter how old he gets, he'll still be that little guy of mine. Thanks for reading about my pup, Bandit!

Jasper is a one-of-a-kind, disc catching dog. I am glad that Jassy is with me. I gotta say, if it wasn't for my Jack Russell Terrier, Bandit, I would not have this big girl with me. It was a freezing cold night when Bandit starting yapping, barking, howling. I checked the clock that read 11:19 PM. What could he be barking about this late at night? He scratched and scratched at the door, so I turned on the light and peeked outside. I saw something move slightly. Bandit starting whimpering and turning in circles like he does when he is anxious. I told Bandy it was alright, and then openend the door just a crack. I heard a low moan, then several whimpers from a... dog. How could that be? I picked up Bandit and hesitantly stepped outside. To my surprise, I found a skinny, hurt dog just laying there in my yard. I gasped and immediatly called the Emergency Vet. They came and took her. I went just about every day to see her. I knew that I wanted her, but could I get another dog? I finally made up my mind and took her home with me. At first, she was a little weary about her new surrounding. Jass didn't understand that she got food of her own, a bed of her own, and most importantly, a family of her own. After a few weeks, she was normal. She had tons of energy so I started doing frisbee with her. This is one of Jasper's favorite activities, and once we work on it more, we'll be doing competitons. I am glad that Jasper is with us. I wouldn't know what would have happened to the poor girl if I never found her. She has been one of the best blessings in my life, and I just love her.

Teddie got his name from his appearence. He literally looked like a real teddy bear when we got him at 8 weeks old. Ted is such a wonderful, outgoing Golden Retriever who I know I can't live without! He loves to swim and jump into our pool and be a happy dog. He has hip dyslapsia, but I never think of him as disabled. I got him from a Pet Store which was shutting down. They had to get rid of all the puppies. There were only 4 left and they were free, so who could resist that little Golden face looking up at you? I picked him up and he squirrmed all over, but I didn't care. I loved the little guy, and so I brought him home. After being with me for 5 weeks, I realized that he was very intelligent. He had learned every basic command I have taught him and a few tricks as well. Today, he is still like this. I have never had a smarter dog, and I am very proud of him. I love Teddie with all my heart and I can't imagine living one day without the cutie
