I adopted Tauppie from a rescue organization. The day I adopted her I had been out looking for a dog all day. Petsmart was the last place I was going to look for the day. I walked in the store and there she was. As soon as I saw her I knew. The volunteers let me take her for a walk. I knelt down in front of her, she walked up to me and put her head on my knee. At that moment we bonded for life. When I first got her she weighed a very skinny 42 pounds. She was found living on the streets. She was obviously abused by someone based on the signs she exibited at first. I'm happy to say that's in her past and she no longer flinches if I make a sudden move. She's the best dog ever. She loves cuddling, walking, playing with her stuffed toys, seeing people and spending time with her mom.
