Hiya, it's me, KitKat. I'm a calico kitty that loves to be petted! When I was a kitten, I used to lick my people-mommy's face in the morning to wake her up... I don't do that anymore, but I think she wishes I did because something tells me that the alarm clock isn't very good at that job. So, anyway, I love people of all ages, shapes, and sizes. I only want one thing from you if you walk through my door-- to be petted! However, if I don't know you very well or if you startle me by ringing the doorbell, I might growl before I run and hide. :) I'm also a smart cat. I know that if I want a t-r-e-a-t, I have to either beg, touch my mommy's hand with my nose, choose what hand has the treat, or come when mommy calls me.

Is it fair to kill a dog because their owners couldn't take care of them anymore? No. Well that's almost what happened to me. Luckily, another rescue organization took me in, then I got adopted out to my new home. Every day, I get 3 long walks, plenty of belly rubs, and lots of fetch! My owners just got me this amazing squeaky toy that's a foot long and feels like a tennis ball. I absolutely refuse to play with any toy that's not a tennis ball-like item. :) Funny, huh? I'm also a speed demon, so to speak. My owners wanted to test how fast I could run by driving through a park while I run beside them. They found out that I can maintain 20-25mph for a little under 5 minutes straight! That's amazing, especially for a 7 year old dog like me! My owners don't know for sure what dog breeds I am soooooo.... Any guesses? Type them in your comments please :)
